I've been wearing my Chop's Cash/Greenguy super bowl shirt for 3 days. I just changed my underwear and rubbed on a fresh layer of deodorant, but I'm not going to change my socks or anything else until tomorrow, I think. Wake me up in an hour or so, will ya?

Well, as Terry said: if the rain and freezing rain hits town, we will certainly be working on a wet and wild thursday here. Working at home has it's advantages, that is for sure.

Anyway, standard ton of stuff to do, only a half ton forklift, so we will see how it turns out.

Tim Hortons is the next stop.

Alex

Fonz 2006-03-09 09:19 AM

Morning all,

Still cold, grey and rainy here. Cancun will be a relieve :)
Anyway have a nice day :)

Cleo 2006-03-09 09:21 AM

Overcast day here this morning and I woke up with a slight headache.

Neighbor got back into town late last night and called me all upset saying that someone had changed stuff on his PC and all his stuff was missing. After I calmed him down I reminded him that he had thrown the drive for that PC into the ocean and had installed a fresh copy of Windows on the remaining drive in the PC.

Probably just going to take it easy and let this headache go away.

MrMaryLou 2006-03-09 09:25 AM

Good Morning All :)

Same here in the northern tip of NJ.
Melting snow and drizzle-shit rain.

The deer seem to like it tho.
They all seem to be out and about.

Freezing rain sounds like the perfect excuse to bail on my trip downtown today!

I just returned from the sunny south, and I'm regretting coming home.

stuveltje 2006-03-09 02:31 PM

good evening here:) yes today my daughter of 11 told me she is old enough to go by herself to school, well she told me yesterday, she had an test day at her new highschool where she will go after this summer, with pain in my heart i lett her go, but i realy wanted to parck my car somewhere on her way, to see if she manage to get save at that school......they grow up and do i have an hard time with it. With that i heard today that my son wont go to the next class after summer, he wont manage it, i wont lie so i told my 9 year old son, he was crying for an hour because he thinks he is stupid, i finally confinched him he is not stupid and its not bad to do the same class again, it will only make all easier for him to learn in furture. we parents we think we have an hard time, but kids have an hard time to and we are here to help them to survive that hard life to understand all the answers of the "Big Why"........but i can tell you one thing, as an parent it will take all your energie, we want our kids to be happy, not to think they fail in life, not at the age of 9.......and it seems i succeed to fix that today, i am tired but happy, even i nag about my kids, i give my life for them! i learned alot today:) have a great day all:)

bunky2u 2006-03-09 02:47 PM

Hey all!

12:40pm right now, and I am about to head out to the dreaded day job. Actually, it's not that bad... it's pretty much stress free.

Stu, I hear ya on the kids deal. My daughter has had trouble with school in the past. She's getting better, but she tends to daydream a lot in class. (I wonder where she gets that?) My son is having a bit of trouble with a bully in his class but the teacher don't do much about it as the kid is First Nations... if the teachers keep sending him out of class, the parents are likely to come back and claim "discrimination" I don't care what colour your skin is, is you are raising a brat do something about it, for Pete's sake. Stu, you are right, kids should have have to be stressed out, they should have nice happy lives.

Did my taxes and I will be getting a nice refund, I will probably use it to pay off a chunk on a bank loan. Debt is a real pisser.

Anyway, here's to a great Thursday!

(Aw crap... It's snowing AGAIN!)

natalie 2006-03-09 04:28 PM

Morning all
Gonna be a great day lol.. I think Punani is about to send me a $5000 report he has been writing at work so I can proof read it before it goes to the client in a couple of hours.
Then I have to go take my nephew for his baby swim class because my sister has broken something in her knee and has her leg in a splint. Plus I have the flu and am coughing up green shit so I am sure all the other parents will be just stoked at that! That pool better be heated.

What the hell is First Nations?
Hehe I would like to say things get better as they get older Stu but I dunno if I can. But then I don't have my older one anymore, and I can say life has been a lot less stressful since he went. Our daughter (13) is an angel lol. Well she is well behaved and trustworthy at least.. today I have sent her off with $280 in school fees on her new keycard so she can pay it for me when she gets to school. I hope she remembers her pin #

stuveltje 2006-03-09 04:39 PM

lol bunky and nat:) my daughter is like me but then 10 times worser, i will always remember my moms words;"wait till you have your own kids then i wanna here you talk"and damn she is so right, i grow up more independed then my daughter, but then when i was 15 my parents where 30, they had a great time, i am older so i am more carefull and i have only one Melanie ( my 11 year old daughter) and one Kevin(my 9 year old son) i am just tooooooooo carefull, i know i have to lett them go more, but hell we live in a sick world, and to be honest when i was 11 it wasnt different, i only think different, i know where i went thru with my younger age, but i dont want my daughter to go thru the same shit, but they will learn if i lett them go.........but i dont wanna lett the go.
Bunky:) torturing one of my kids on school i went thru some time ago, i fixed that, i hit the fucking teacher on the right eye , lol i was in prison for some hours but i got away, it was not my fault, but i can tell you one thing...........they crawl for me at school, i will never go again thru "my kid getting torturing by other kids" mmmmmmmm i bett ya the school my kids are on are glad when i am gone there, till then i will keep torturing them........heay i pay school money so i may do that

natalie 2006-03-09 04:54 PM

hahah you hit the teacher! Man there have been times I wanted to do that when my son was in primary school.
I was a terror of a teenager and my mum always said exactly the same thing to me LOL "wait till you have your own kids then i wanna here you talk" But so far I reckon I must be doing a better job than her haha, touch wood. But then she had 2 of her own and 3 step children, all teenagers at one stage. Plus then had 2 more babies... And there 3 more older stepkids as well. 10!!! Fuck that.

I don't know if where I live is heaps different to where you are Stu but my girl started walking on her own to school at about 10, maybe 9. I thought it was good to give her some independence. When there was a couple of abductions near here I almost panicked but I didn't want my kids to be paranoid so I just gave her the stranger talk again and let her keep going. The footpaths here are pretty busy with people out for exercise and most of the houses belong to retirees so I figure its not too bad.
This year she has to take a bus and the other day she missed it so I called her a cab. Thats when I got a bit worried and sms'd her all morning till she replied and told me she was at school lol.

grin its funny to see how we think, but we live in an other town then where her school is, i was always so protected , also i never was late to pick them up at their school, i remember the times i waited on my mom and she was late, it was something i told myself it would never happen to me when i have kids and it didnt, i know i am over protected...........she is just getting grown up, but hell she is 11, she is still a little kid for me, although she has the mouth of an 18 year old..........doohhhhh i wonder from whom she got that........:)i will go thru to this, still i will hide some places to watch if she gets save at school, i know i know i am bad, but heay i am just a mom:D...to be real, i wanted to sabotage her bike, so she should ask me to drive her to school......geeze i am a weenie

its about a 20 minutes drive on her bike, but the roads are not protected for biking people, they are building a totally new town and the traffic is hell, so i am worried to dead when she does it, she has already 2 nieces who got in hospital by traffic accidents and yes i am afraid the same happens to her, but for her i am just an nagging mom.............bad kids bad kids .lolololol

stuveltje 2006-03-09 05:14 PM

funny thing is i wanted to be smart so i told her you will understand if you got kids yourself! her answer:"hell i am not taking kids i take a cat or a dog then i dont have to worrie to much.................. and thats 11 years old.

natalie 2006-03-09 05:24 PM

hehe she is a smart kid! And yeah I don't think you are being paranoid Stu, thats big ride for that age even without bad traffic.

Now get back to work lol.

bunky2u 2006-03-09 10:28 PM

First Nations are the indigenous people of Canada. The government hands them pretty much anything and everything on a sliver plate.
