We are in the middle of quite a large upgrade. If you see anything weird, it will be fixed. There are some new cool features coming soon...I think :)

I just played with the new sig admin options, so I'm doing a happy dance that I won't have to desig as many morons in the future |bananna|

But if you see something that's fucked, just post it here so we can have a look at it (well, Sparky can have a look at it, because I have no idea how to fix anything around here)

I see weirdness every day.

Some days are just weirder then others.

So far today is pretty normal on my weirdness scale.

Back to cleaning my house…

PS: I did have a rather large brown mouse jump out of my closet and land on my tits as I was reaching up to grab some rolls of TP today. That was kind of weird but mostly just gross. It was a fast one and I had a hell of a time catching it so as to put it back outside. My cats like to catch and bring them home to play.

I do like that new sig tool. :) In theory, it just won't let you setup a sig that doesn't follow the rules. Is it possible we won't see the "Please Re-Read..." sigs anymore?

There's a lot of fucked up sig files - problem is that when we opened the board, we put in there that html was not allowed in sig files. Somewhere along the line, that was changed by an upgrade to the board & they were being allowed.

So if you have html in your sig file, you need to change it & use the VBCode stuff - sorry for the problem.

Looks like my sig still shows fine using the regular html tags...
When I tried to change it to BB code it said: BB code url not allowed...

edit: hmmm, after trying a few times it seemed to work after all

I just tinkered with the sig file stuff once again - I had a couple things turned off that should have been on (like that one)

Yes, version 3.6 has a lot of great features on the admin side!

This really sucks if you have a link(s) with a long url (like both of my submit pages..)

The search function has lost the Boolean option which has saved me much time in the past. Any chance that searches automatically operate under Boolean rules now?

use AND OR or NOT in your queries for Boolean.

i.e.

this AND that

this OR that

(this and that) or other

(this and that) and not other

Boolean is enabled by default with fulltext indices (which are enabled). The only thing it used to do when you set boolean was to replace ' ' with ' and ' :)

Hmm. The thing is that I tried "and" queries on the old search form and it always used to just return far too many irrelevant results, so I assumed that it would only work if I ticked the Boolean thing - and I always got better results when I did that.

In any case, it sounds like it's good now.

I just found some weirdness.

I typed a response to a private message and clicked the Preview button, but the message was sent, no preview.

I dread this upgrade. Shit is still broke from the last one.

I changed my sig to VBCode and that's fine.

But I can't have a 120x60 image *and* a smiley in my sig.
It says I have two images in my signature which is not allowed.

I image in your sig has always been the rule - we went easy on people with smiley's in there, but now we don't have to worry about checking them, as the board does it for us.

Hell, I didn't even know that there was a smiley with braces and a teddy bear.
