Do you love me?

I was going with some reverse pyschology here. I figured if you all hated the skin colors last week on GGJ that you would love me when it switched back to green? So did it work? :)

Thanks for letting us skin the site and do the contest Greenie! Good group of peeps over here (non surfers at that) lol

happypeekers 2006-11-26 02:39 PM

I thought the skin was rockin!!

virgohippy 2006-11-26 08:26 PM

If you're responsible for bringing back the green, yes I love you! :D

MrYum 2006-11-26 08:54 PM

Love is a pretty strong word. After all, you haven't bought me dinner or anything yet :D

But, the return to green sure is appreciated |thumb

Added: That hippy sure is an easy slut :D

Xallow 2006-11-26 09:31 PM

I like the green, it is the color of Money and Luck...

amadman 2006-11-26 10:44 PM

I had a real hard time with the skin and am glad it was only temp.|thumb

SheepGuy 2006-11-26 11:38 PM

I love ya dude!
But then again I bleed Green blood, vote Green, dream in Green & white, etc. ;) And Green is indeed the colour of money.
Plus my green eyes had a hard time reading dark red on on a black background. Glad it's back to normal!

I thought it looked kinda cool as well. I think we are the minority here. But I have to admit it was a bit hard on the eyes.

Mr. Yum.... Dinner on me in Vegas :)

That makes 3 of us. I'm more of a "dark" person :)
But some of us can't seem to live without some |potleaf|

Licker4U 2006-11-27 05:48 AM

I like the different skins every now and then. I wonder if this is going to be a semi-regular thing...:D

Jim 2006-11-27 07:11 AM

I do like a new skin every once in a while. One day soon, this place will be a nice Orange :) But, Silvercash did do a really nice job with the skin and you guys are welcome to do it anytime you want to :)

eman 2006-11-27 07:30 AM

I found it hard to read.

pornrex 2006-11-27 08:34 AM

I like the traditional looking skin, but I also like the days when there's a change too because it's something different. It can't always be the same colors because then it becomes somewhat monotonous.

Greenguy 2006-11-27 10:12 AM

Aside from the dark background (which did fuck up a couple of pages that no one ever looks at) I did like the skin.

No one likes the skin the 1st day they see it, but once they get used to it, it's sorta depressing when it goes back to the standard one.

Toby 2006-11-27 10:30 AM

And you've got to agree, like them or not, they're a very powerful advertising method. |thumb

They get your attention which I think is a very pwoerful way for a new program to step into the biz or an old one to let you know there are major changes.

The last thing we did was a huge banner that swam across the screen once an hour for a sponsor. It was less intrusive and got the attention they were seeking.

Green is good, otherwise you'll have to change you site name)

Bill 2006-11-27 03:43 PM

I was a lot more interested in your new sites, than the new skin.

And the increased payout definitely makes me a lot more interested in selling silvercash.

I'd like to see more banners made available, that's always been one of silvercash's weaknesses.

How about giving us the .psd's for the logo and other tour graphics, so we can make our own banners?

I also wonder about my old rewards points - I totally agree with dropping the rewards in favor of higher payouts, but I do have old points, and I don't want to see them evaporate. I'd like to use them to buy content.

DangerDave 2006-11-27 04:12 PM

People will soon learn that gimics, like board skins, have little bearing on the quality of a program....

It is far more important to have a program and people that you can trust and all to often gimics often obscure other important information.

IMO the most important news included:

1. The change in all link codes
2. The removal of 30+ existing sites
3. The removal of current stats for removed site.(meaning that links/referrers can not be tracked)
4. The removal of the rewards program.(and the removal of the catalogue so we now have to jump thru hoops to get what is rightfully ours)

All of these points were left OUT of the press release and hype.

No, Mike I do not love you, and SilverCash has damaged their reputation with myself and others.

Bill 2006-11-27 04:54 PM

I didn't realize they'd killed 30 of the older sites, but I knew they'd killed some. I did notice that facial masters, a great name and concept, but dated looking, was gone, and all my oral-cum traffic was being redirected to the much weaker freshfacials concept site.

I would much rather have seen facial masters get a new tour.

I don't see the link change as being a huge problem, as the redirecting seems to be working okay. I've come to expect some link changing every few years from most programs.

This won't cost me as much money as when traffic cash dumped all their old portfolio of sites.

It's too early to tell if the new HD sites convert.

I do like the return to the old payout.

The psd's is a good idea and something I will try to add in the near furture. We really haven't made a ton of banners because they don't seem to be used much these days.

As far as your points go just email albert@silvercash.com and he'll help you spend those points :)

Dave Im sure I wont be the first person to tell you this but go ahead and fuck off. You're harassment has gone far enough. Take your moped to the pharmacy and refill that prescription of yours because buddy you got a problem.

You have made a SC hater thread on damn near every board there is. My guys have replied to you on every board and in email and ICQ. We have done everything we can to try and explain our position and it's time for you to quit crying and if we are that horrible please just move your traffic elsewhere if you have not already.

Do you not think we want to do things to help our webmasters and improve our program as a whole? My main goal is to make money! In order for me to make money I need 1. sites that convert and retain, 2. webmaster willing to send traffic. In order to do these things we had to make changes to our program so that we could raise payouts and not lose money. I can't pay you more if I'm making less.

Your complaints which are so minimal but you somehow turn us into some big bad guy that is out to get everyone.

1. We changed link codes. Yes we did. And this is a good thing. Our link codes are now shorter and they are www.sitename/session/id/etc. Where as before everyone of our sites was click.silvercash.com/session/id/etc. Our links have become SE friendly and shorter. All of the previous links are still active and work the same as before. However if you grab new links you'll be getting the new codes.

2. Removing of 30 sites. Yes we did. And this too was a good thing. These 30 sites we removed were only doing about 5% of the total signups SC was receiving daily. They were old cookie cutter sites with horrible members areas. It only made sense to dump these sites. They were converting from trial at 15-20% at best and length of membership was horrible. There was no way I could raise payouts and continue allowing people to send to these sites. We were losing money on every sale before the payout raise. Fun Fact: Since we forwarded the traffic from these sites to the new sites they are actually doing 20% more conversions. So people who still have old links up are doing more sales now then before we forwarded them. Please tell me how you justify (if you are me) keeping up and paying people $40 per join on sites that are making close to $10 per join? lol, maybe that's why you don't run a program.

3. Yes, you can no longer track refers to those old sites. That's what happens when you remove sites. Nothing I can do there.

4. Removal of rewards program. Lets see now... rewards were worth $1 per sale and we increased payouts by $10 per sale. That's +$9 but somehow you still find a way to complain. Seems to me you're searching hard. If you are going by HD it's $14

Basically it comes down to this. All of our new sites are all shot by us in HD and are fully exclusive. This is expensive. Raising payouts is expensive. And in order to do those things you have to get rid of things that are hurting you. Thus we removed some money losing sites and got rid of the rewards program. We have done nothing but give you more and yet you cry? lol

zman 2006-11-27 06:08 PM

The skin was cool but the red font on black background was too hard to read.

DangerDave 2006-11-27 08:54 PM

Mike,

This ain't the zoo.. and I am not afraid of a few rude words... The mental health remarks though are both uncalled for and inappropriate.

You started this thread.. and asked a question.. I answered your question and supported it with my reasons.. Last time I looked this was a public board open to comment from any webmaster.

I stated an opinion(as I am entitled to do), and any person reading this thread can and will make up their own mind about you, me and Silvercash.

If you want to argue with me.. please stay in the realms of reality.

I believe I posted on TWO boards... that is along way from the 100 or so adult webmaster boards that currently exist.

I have stated my opinion/view and see little advantage to continuing this discussion with you.

I liked the skins - I also liked the blitz stlye campaign. Talk about gaining a big load of awareness. It always amuses me when webmasters who spend their days advertising products to surfers start belly-aching as soon as anyone advertises to them in an 'in your face' manner.

Dark red on black was a little hard to read, esp as I'm slightly colour-blind, but I lived and am here to tell the tale.

Having roughly 1 bajillion sponsor accounts makes it hard to keep up with all of them changing stuff etc. It would have been good to have an e-mail, board post, big notice in the lite WM area about the sites being removed but nothing's perfect and, again, I lived and am here to tell the tale.

Is there any way in your Lite WM area to get a dump of all the Link Codes / Site Names at once, CFREE, varying payouts and all? That would be really, really, really handy :-)

That is damn near exactly what my neighbor said to me the other night when I threw his tree branch on his porch after he threw it on my pile leaves and vine clippings.

Don't know you, can't love you. (What would my wife think?) I didn't like the skin. It reminded me of why black men shouldn't get tattoos.

Obviously, all Dave is saying is that when you make those types of changes, you have a responsibility to inform your affiliates. Dropping 30 sites is a big deal, especially when you are redirecting one's traffic. You're doing it to increase the likelihood sales - we understand that, but that doesn't work so well when we're marketing lesbian site A and our surfer clicks through (now blindly) to lesbian site B. If they expect Muff Munching Mania and find themselves at Labia Licking Lesbos - the the trust factor is harmed.

You really do need to add a LOT more banners in different sizes, hardcore and softcore. I will be contacting my acct rep with some other suggestions sometime this week. :)

Cashed in all my points tonight too. Totally hassle free. One email took care of it all. No hoops needed. :D

Maj, glad you got your points all cashed in. I will bring up the banner issue in the next meetings.

Useless,

Jeremy, yea I agree that we should have made it more noticable that we dropped those sites. After months of planning that decision was made the week prior so it wasn't well thought out. There is a link in the SMC that states all changes in SC4 :)

I don't see anything on the "SMC Lite" which I log into 95% of the time.

Also I use FPAs in SE hubs, so any sites that don't got them, don't make it into them.

Beenie 2006-11-28 11:59 AM

Liked the skin at first glance but it became a real strain on the eyes in the long run.

It is however nice to see different skins once in a while... but the current skin IS greenguysboard.com

I'll have to admit I don't think I have logged into SCLite more then once and had no clue it wasn't listed there. I think it was just some bad planning on that.

Anyways, I'll check on those FPA's and if any content at all isn't making it over there.
