Burger King Going Low Carb

For those of you that visit Burger King

Cleo 2004-01-14 07:56 AM

Let me know when you can order something besides a slab of dead animal flesh on a bun or potatoes cooked in liquefied animal fat.

A nice juicy tofu burger and yuca fries not cooked in lard would be nice. :)

Here is the link, sorry I hit enter before I was able to add the link , it's way to early here... lol

Oh good you can order your slab of dead flesh minus the bun now. Guess this means that I no longer have to watch my very fat neighbor removing the bun from his burgers anymore as he tells me how he is losing weight by not eating bread as he eats enough burgers for five people.

Back to Blimpie and their Vegimax for me. :)

lol about your fat neighbor. My sister is the same way always on some sort of low carb or no carb diet. Eat healthy is my motto. The Vegimax looks yummy

Cleo 2004-01-14 08:34 AM

The best part about watching my neighbor on his diet of the week is watching him eat a dozen low carb energy bars at 250+ calories each for breakfast as he tells me how much weight he will loose this week and what great shape he is in and how he will be getting back to the gym soon.

Cleo 2004-01-14 08:49 AM

I discovered this sub chain for eating while in Vegas.
http://quiznos.com/
I had their Veggie sub and Luna had their Chicken sub. They pass all their subs through a toaster oven thing that makes for a delicious toasted sub.

Then again I eat bread and workout at the gym about four times a week. I'm not thin, but am very healthy. Maybe if I gave up bread and lived on burgers without buns I could fit in that size 6 dress. :D

I hear ya... same with my sister , she is on low carb but, HIGH quantity diet lol

amber438 2004-01-14 09:07 AM

I started a low carb diet on new years..
actually made my own..
I eat fish, chicken, turkey, veal (really not a vegeterian)
1 egg a day if I feel like it
salad, veggies
coffee with milk (cant give up the milk), water
tomatoe juice, V8

basically I eat as much of these as I want..maybe 5-6 small meals a day..
about 10 years ago, I lost 125 lbs in 6 months doing this..
and cause I put on so much weight in the past year cause of surgery, I figured should do it again..
Those low carb snacks are full of sodium and calories..losing weight is not just about low carbs..it's eating healthy, watching the calories and sodium too, and EXERCISE!!
I just cant imagine a food program where eating bacon and cheese gets ya thin and healty..I know it's done, being done..But how healty is the body inside?? Isn't a total low carb diet bad for the gall bladder?

Surfn 2004-01-14 10:32 AM

It always amazes me when people that are over weight, and conscious of it, try to feign eating better by ordering everything on the menu and ending with "I'll have a diet [insert drink here]" |jester|

That's great, how are you doing on the diet ? are you seeing results with it ? I have been a on a low carb diet for almost a year. I basically just watch what I eat and try to eat healthy.
Yes I heard that low carb diet for a long period of time is not good for you. Not sure which organ is effects but, could be the gall bladder. Will do some research on it and find out. |lightsabe

Ahhhh now we are talking, it will make lunch so much better instead of just "Steamed Chicken, No Veggies" for lunch every damn day I can do something FAST, I love FAST.

And Cleo stop being so negative, all that shit above is what makes 50% of Americans happy to date.

amber438 2004-01-15 07:46 AM

Subway has low carb sandwiches also
They are these pita wrap things..They are ok but don't taste the greatest..

Happy and plump. :D

Personally I think the biggest problem is the huge servings that are served everywhere.

what is the south beach diet ?

ladydesigner 2004-01-15 10:49 AM

Here's the link to their website.
http://www.southbeachdiet.com
My neighbor told me about it so I checked it out. It's not as strict as Atkins which I liked.

Cleo 2004-01-15 10:54 AM

Best I can tell it is very much like the Atkins diet which make it useless for a Vegetarian like me.
http://www.annecollins.com/south-beach-diet-program.htm

Speaking of which I'm off to go have breakfast and then go grocery shopping. :)

Atkins can be very strict, I was on it about 2 years back and I got dizzy not being able to eat any carbs |crazy|

How do you like Texas so far ?

ladydesigner 2004-01-15 01:21 PM

...I like it so far... I think! ;-)

It's a huge adjustment. Everything is so different here - in a good way! It's much cheaper to live here. The only thing I don't like is the weather. It's very unpredictable.

Yes cost of living is really cheap in Texas. You can get a huge house for a great price there.

I think Missouri City is near Houston right ? If my memory serves me correctly.

ladydesigner 2004-01-15 01:35 PM

I know what you mean about house prices. We sold a house in CA for an absurdly high price and turned around and bought a brand spankin' new house that's twice as big as the one we sold for half the price!

Houston is about 20-25 minutes from Missouri City. Missouri City is about 2 miles away from Sugarland.

Ok, thats what I thought you were near Houston. I lived actually right outside of Houston, katy is a off 1-10 going West.

We sold our house there and lost money big time. Our house was only 3 years old in a great neighborhood.
