Alright, so it seems quite a few people read my last thread on this and a couple people expressed interest on and off the boards. I've since more or less complete the coding for it and it should be fully functional (if there are no bugs that I haven't caught). I'll be tweaking and adding new feature as I go along.

So here's how this 'idea' works. In exchange for 1 single link to my site, I will give you an account that gives you access to a certain number of slots from a pool of 1500 slots. In each slot that is allocated to you, you can store one link to any Free Hosted Gallery of your choice (that contain your tracking codes).

Once your galleries have been approved (I have to make sure they fall within the rules, nothing else) your site has an equal chance of being randomly selected amongst the other approved galleries to be displayed on the page that you are linking to. The site gets refreshed every hour, so even if there are a potential 1500 links, some of your FHGs will almost definitely be displayed during the course of the day.

The number of slots allocated to you depends on the PR of the site you are linking to the page from. For example, if you have a site with a PR of 2 and link from that page to this site, you will receive 45 total slots. A pr of 3 gives you 70 slots and so forth. Obviously the more slots you have, the higher chance you have at having your FHGs be displayed.. so there's an incentive to link from sites with higher PRs.

The idea here is to have a single page with only incoming links so that it has a greater chance of ranking highly for certain keywords. (Note, you will not be receiving a reciprocal link for participating in this program, since that would defeat the purpose of this system). The more sites that link the page, one way, the higher chances it has of ranking highly in the SEs.

So what do I get out of this? Well, I'm going to get to display 2 links to 2 different pay sites. I'm not going to have any FHGs in the database since I don't really have any incentive to do this.

Here's what you get depending on your site's PR

PR0 = 10 slots
PR1 = 25 slots
PR2 = 45 slots
PR3 = 70 slots
PR4 = 100 slots
PR5+ = 150 slots

The reason why I'm limiting it to 1500 slots and no more (ever) is because I want to make sure that you have a reasonable chance of having your FHGs being displayed on the main page. If you only have 10 slots.. out of 30,000.. you don't really have a chance.. and there would be no point of signing up.

Just a couple of other things.. the webmaster section is pretty basic. It tells you how many slots you have.. how many of them you have filled.. whether or not your FHGs have been approved. It also allows you to edit your links.. delete them.. and add new ones. Finally, it also gives you a couple statistics.. like how many times each of your FHGs have been displayed, and the number of times they appeared in the three sections (top section, middle section, bottom section).

In the future, I'll be adding a bulk ad feature.. and the ability to change your personal settings (like your email and password). I haven't gotten there yet.

I think people are intimidated by the long description in the beginning. I would think that anybody with a site, especially a blog or something, would want to try this out.

Concept is simple: Help get the page in the top 10 for certain keywords, and use the resulting traffic on your own Free Hosted Galleries. The more you contribute, the more FHG's you can potentially have on the page (new FHGs are randomly selected every hour). There's nothing to lose!

If you don't decide to try this thing out.. could you post here or write me a message explaining why. I'd be curious in finding out the reasons..and maybe I can modify a few things to make it seem more attractive.

I honestly think this is a win win for everyone... and it's so easy!

Hmmm, an intriguing idea, I'll give it a go. Just signed up (Lonewolf).

You can have more than one site, so long as it is hosted on a different server. For the moment you need to open a new account to do this. I'll get around to changing that, however, so if you want, just create a new account with the same username (just a 2 at the end) and when I change the system I'll convert your accounts into one.

1/3 of the slots have already been given away.. so it's off to an excellent start! For those of you who are still unsure, there are 1015 slots left.

Also, I have to admit that I'm surprised by the number of PR3&4 sites that have been signing up. I was expecting more 0s,1s, and 2s.. This is great because I'm sure it'll help boost SE ranking... speed things up a bit.

I'm going to be working on the code today, to add all those features some of you have been asking for.. like batch add, multiple websites, password reset.. I'll try to finish it all by tonight.

Hey everyone, I went crazy with the scripting today and added a bunch of new features. First, I finished the "batch add" feature, which should simplify it a lot for those with lots of slots. All you need to do is use the following pattern:

This is the third....

and so forth. (You won't see this option if all of your slots are full)

I've also added the ability to change your password... and to reset your password if in case you lose it. Finally, there's a faq that answers a couple of the questions I've been getting over PMs about what the various headers mean in the stats area... and other useful tidbits.

I'm still working on the referral system.. and the ability to have more than one site per account. When I first wrote the scripts, I didn't make the database with this in mind, so a couple things need to be changed before I implement this. I'm about half way there.

Anyway, thanks again for all of the support/ideas. I'm pretty excited about this and am sure it'll work out for everyone involved.

Hey Everyone, you might have noticed the site is down. I'm having difficulties with my DNS server for some reason (the site is still there if you type in the ip address). I"m going to get everything working soon. Sorry about this.

Alright, so I had to update my DNS info.. which means it will take a day or two for the changes to propagate. Again, sorry about this.

Something must still be fubar with your DNS. This should have resolved by now.

It usually doesn't take more than 12 hours these days.

Hey everyone,

First let me start off by saying sorry about all of this. I realize this looks bad on my part, or may seem fishy, but all of this isn't intentional (I'm ripping my hair out over this, whatever's left of it). This is a case of really really bad timing and bad luck. The day when all of these problems started appearing, I was also booked for a flight overseas, which is where I am right now. I've also had problems finding internet access (until just now) so I haven't been able to address this issue.

I figured it was just a DNS problem, and I updated the information before leaving thinking that would resolve the issue, but that obviously hasn't been the case. I'm going to be contacting the really crappy hosting company that runs the server for the site and tell them to fix the issue. When I get back, I'll be changing companies to make sure this sort of thing doesn't happen again.

For those of you who have pulled your links, I understand. For those of you who decide to stick with this idea once everything has been settled, I promise that I'll make it up to you guys.

Hey everyone, Im not getting this to work over here. Ill be back home in about a week and will sort this all out there. Where I am right now, its a pain in the butt just to get into town just for internet access and its making it very difficult. Thanks for understanding, I feel really bad about all of this. Ill post in here in about a week or so.

Finally! Well I just got back home yesterday and finally got the site working again this morning. I'm sorry for all the long delays. Circumstances made it pretty much impossible for me to address this and it was just a bunch of really bad luck/bad timing. For those who stick around and link back to the website, I'll try to think of a way to make it up to you (most likely extra slots and future bonuses on newer websites).

I'll also be working on the script soon, adding some newer features. Being out in booney's ville without internet gave me a lot of time to think of new ideas. I'll most likely be adding those to a bigger, more sophisticated site that I'll open once this site proves to me that this sort of system can work. It'll be a lot more flexible and give you way more options. I don't want to let the cat out of bag just yet. Of course, those of you who are helping me out now will get bonuses on that site as well :-).

***Important update***

1.) Alright everyone, I've added a referral bonus to the program. For every person you sign up, you get an extra 10 slots (regardless of their PR). There are two ways to make this happen, either you give your referral code to the person you're signing up (and they put it in manually) or you give them a link which takes them to the signup page with your refcode embedded. The URL looks something like this:

There's a new section at the top of the webmaster's control page that tells you everything you need to know.. your ref code, your ref url, and how many refs have been allocated to you.

Please don't refer yourself with a new website. I've put up measures against this, but obviously if you try hard enough it can be faked. Besides,I think it works against you in the long run. I believe having a greater variety of links pointing to the site, and therefore a higher page rank, benefits you more than 10 extra slots.

Also, given that this will be taking up more slots than previously thought, I'm thinking of upping the total number of slots to 1700, from 1500. Any thoughts?

If there are any problems, bugs, etc.. please tell me about them :-)

2.) I'll be adding your bonuses shortly for sticking with me during the server problems. I'm thinking of giving everyone 10 extra slots.

3.) I won't be adding the option of multiple websites per account given that it's a bit too complicated to implement at this point. I'll definitely add that option when I start writing the next iteration of this program. For not, just create new accounts for every site you link from. Just remember that every new site you add has to have a different IP.

I noticed that the keywords and description meta tags are not showing up correctly on the site:

I really like the idea and would have signed up if you had something a bit more niche oriented. I think a porn movies page is too general. For one thing competing over the key phrase "video clips porn" may be too difficult, even with a dozen or so PR3 links pointing at it. For another, the traffic isn't filtered by niche, so making sales with FHGs would be a long shot IMHO.

Not trying to put you down or anything. I think it's a very cool concept, really. If you move on to establishing such sites that will be niche specific, by all means, please let me know :)
