More inactive or slow LLs - are they dead?

Some of these LLs may not send confirmation emails but I'm seeing much traffic either (or i keep submiting) and I sure as hell don't have time to go back and search for my free sites on every LL - so unless they send some traffic or a confirmation email, I'm dropping them from my submit lists.

And why the hell is www.theredcherry.com listed on http://adult-boss.com/traffic/dead_link_lists/ they send me good traffic and post my sites quickly. |huh|

Smutgremlins posts mine within 1-2 days. Jays and marks may be behind because there are personal issues with the reviewer.

Don't know about tommys being behind, but he is sure as hell not dead. He is also a partner list, so you have to have an account to be listed. I believe a couple other of those sites list quickly. All sex seems to have a 1-2 month delay.

Maybe your sites just aren't being accepted?

Because that list is owned by some fucktard who hosts with HQhost and gets his domains from EST Domains and has been banned at all those lists. They're dead to him, not everyone else. I'm proud to see two of my lists on there. ;)

There's a lot of people that post here on a regular basis on there who have very current LL's. Tommy (do you have a partner account?), Emerald, Jay & Dare, etc.

If you have a list that long of sites that are not listing you, you really need to re-exam your building process, because there's an problem someplace.

Wow papagmp at least 9 of those on your list are great link lists that are quick to accept sites. Are also link lists who send some major traffic my way.

It's your right to take any LL off your submit list because they don't send a email confirmation. But with some of those LL you listed I'd take the time to go back and check to see if they listed you.

One of the above LL's rejected my site because it had recips from LLs listed on http://adult-boss.com/traffic/dead_link_lists/ - the only one I found was theredcherry and I'm very happy with them. Hell, I'm pretty darn happy with the traffic you've sent me for the few sites I've been able to find the time to write. Thanks Useless.

I haven't given up on anybody - I'm still learning and trying to see what works and what doesn't. I do try to watch my stats and revisit LLs to see if I'm listed. Bottom line, If I get (and give) decent traffic in the long run, I'm happy.

But come on, how hard is it to add an auto response to a script? Hell, I'm not always looking for a reason of why a site was rejected, I just want to know. |help|

Shit, Greenie rejected one of my sites for mixed content this week - and I respect his decision, it's his LL - the freesite reflects the content that we produce so I decided to keep it the way it was and to replace his recirp with another - at least he told me so I could replace the recirp. I didn't go wining and asking for him to changes his rules - them be his rules! 9 other LL’s accepted the same site so it appears to be working for them. As I get to know more of you, and learn what it is that each of you best market, I’ll adapt my product, or adapt my marketing direction in order to capitalize on what we both have to offer – after all, our goals should not conflict. |cheers|

I am listed on a few of them - but it's difficult to determine when and if one is listed. I do appreciate the fact that you send me a reject email - it lets me know where I stand. The only sites that you have ever declined were to broken links (and thank god you caught my sloppiness – problem was fixed and site accepted upon re-submit) and for mixed content (girl-girl where the boyfriend joined in) Not all the LL’s have a problem with that kind of mixed content and I respect your rules – on sites like that, I’ll use another LL and save you the review time.

And Tommy was in my database as two submits and nothing – I looked back and they were my first two free sites – back when I was a virgin – after this thread I’ll officially consider myself r@ped. |shocking|

I understand what you're trying to accomplish with this thread, but I think this is one of those things you keep track off offline so that you can cross off all the legit LL's on your list before you come thru & post a very inaccurate list.

I think what you really need to do is get a system in place where you go & look at the LL's that do not send out accepted/rejected emails & see if your sites are getting listed (and once one is listed, you'll know the approx wait time)

Then if you find you're not getting listed, you have to ask them why (their webmaster page will tell you how to do that)

Had some problem with a old script.

Hell, I do not send an acceptance or reject email. Something always glitches with my host when I try. Sometimes it sends other times it does not. That seems more confusing for the submitter so I stopped. Its the only problem I have had with them so why change when they have been great to me for years.

The other reason is that MY feeling is if you are serious about this you would check and care more about your stats. Would you rather get an acceptance email and receive 5 hits or not receive one and get 100 or 1000 or 10,000+ over the next 6 mos because thats what some of those lists you listed will give you.

I say buy a few domains and just use those for submitting freesites this way you can check the stats that usually come with it to easily see who is sending hits. Quick and simple. Hope this helps :)

My LL Smutgremlins has a 24 hour turnaround - You should get an email upon recipt of your submit but I dont offer an accept/reject one -

As has been pointed out, many of those LL's are alive and kicking very strongly. If you're not getting accepted by the majority of your LL's there would definitely be a problem with your sites or maybe your Whois.

One way of checking is to list a site or two here and risk our free unbiased reviews. Not for the faint-hearted but its useful! :)

Did some checking and saw nowhere on http://www.tommys-bookmarks.com/submit/ that this was a partner site. I had read something on the board at some point about it being a partner site but I had already submitted a few sites. Again, I'm fairly new at this and any help is always appreciated.

Not sure if you are aware but I will throw this out since I came across it. Your root domain for a recent freesite is showing your hosting company page.

Plus when doing a whois search an error message at http://whois.domaintools.com/outlawteensex.com comes up so there is no info which I believe will give you problems getting listed at alot of places. If they do not know who, what and where you are they usually reject it.

You probably should get those things fixed asap just to make sure it is not hindering your ability to be listed. I'll leave yours in my queue and check it in a few days. Hope this helps :)

Is anyone successfully submitting to infospiral.com on a daily basis? Since they went to having partner accounts I'm receiving error messages after pressing the submit button.

Missed this first time around. Papa, I see only 2 sites from you, using the search by email function I have on my script. One was rejected for the use of the word 'girls' on a teen site (I'm kinda anal about that), the other I'm not sure as it looks ok - may have been the whois issue. I do send acceptance emails, but not rejections (for the most part). Queue time is 10 - 14 days.

I also have a verification link that needs to be clicked in the submit confirmation email.

You might want to put that in the email topic. I submitted for over a month before I realized you had started doing that.

Around the end of Feb., I got a couple of script errors on submissions to your site - I had injured my neck around the same time and was pretty much bed-ridden so I may have forgotten to email you – can’t say for sure – was taking some pretty potent pain-killers and muscle relaxants at the time.

Anyway, I’ll put you back on my submit list. Can’t say that I’ll never mention “girl” in a site again or that my registrar won’t screw up the who-is again but I fully understand your point on those two.

I’ll add you back on my submit list – expect to see a few new sites coming your way.

I’m not as “green” now and submit somewhat regularly to many of the awesome LL’s on my original list – this thread has sure helped me – hope it’s done the same for others.
