That's sad, you're not safe anywhere really what with the shopping centre shootings the other day.

Stuff like this makes me want to keep my kiddos safe at home with me and never let them out. We really aren't safe anywhere anymore. :(

In days of violence, you are safer wearing a kevlar vest than you are carrying a gun. People die every day with a gun on their side. Apparently they're armed, but not psychic.

I said the same thing to Vickie last night when we watched the news. Besides the obvious reasons that we saw...why are there armed security guards?

There doesn't seem to be a rash of church shootings.

I thought god gave them all the protection they needed.

Read up on the so-called "New Life Church" - they've had more than their share of controversy. Between them and Focus On The Family, this town is pretty much guaranteed drama.

I think I even used an article on the New Life Church as an exit link on one of my free sites... Save me a place in hell!

These evangalist type churches seem to be a money making scam exploiting fools in the same way terrorist groups do.

Now that my kids are teenagers, I sometimes want to use their sadistic baby training methods on them, just for fun. I always wonder where they find people to join these kinds of churches?

Here in beautiful downtown Brampton Ontario, it's not unusual for Sikhs to try to kill Sikhs over "temple disputes".
When I was 12 my Dad tried to enroll me in The Boys Brigades, an offshoot of the local Baptist Church. Basically a paramilitary damn near fascist outfit where blind obedience to your 14 year old commander was mandatory. He thought it might bring me closer to the Big Guy.
I went to one meeting and got into a fist fight (which I lost badly), and said fuck it, doubt they wanted me back anyways.
Nothing against religion though, I still consider myself a Christian, but I have no use for churches, preachers, priests, and such.
Jesus hung out with the whores, the publicans, the fishermen and the adulterers, and those are also my kind of people :)
The problem with organized religion is the pompous hypocritical assholes who run the show and draw the paychecks.

Just the one it seems from that page you posted up but i can imagine there are others donating to the other parties.

It's a bit like money laundering or is here as all these aid pakages to other countries aren't done out of good will, a kind of "we'll give you money if you look after our party at election time".

Goverments are bought and sold by anyone willing to cough up the money.

Remember how the Columbine shooting started a trend in school shootings? Kind of like a chain reaction... Hopefully this doesn't turn out the same way.

As I was watching this story on CNN.. all i could hear in my head was Samuel Jackson saying:

Oh my god, was it? That movie freaked me out. We told the kids we had rented a horror movie, and I don't think that was at all inaccurate.
