Happy Thursday Morning

Good Morning
I'm sill trying to get out of the holiday spirit and get moving :) I am off to the kidney doctor today to see how they are going to get rid of a couple of stones.

FanTC 2007-12-27 06:42 AM

Good Morning

Pecan Praline is now being served. Ham, eggs, biscuits and gravy, grits, and OJ to follow after a ride to the beach for sunrise and seagull buzzfest. After that, it's all work.

Have a full bellied day.

digifan 2007-12-27 07:20 AM

Good morning,
the holiday spirit is good even if you don't get gifts.. kidney stones suck :( Sis has them.
FanTC your posts are not healthy :D

Fonz 2007-12-27 07:47 AM

Good morning all,

I actually woke up before noon today :)
Doing some reviews first and then it's back to doing some mainstream internet stuff. Not as fun as porn...

Have a good day all!

Cleo 2007-12-27 07:53 AM

Had planned on going to Monkey Jungle today but it's poring rain here so probably not the best day to do outdoor stuff.

Guess I should get out of bed and make the espresso...

Tekster 2007-12-27 07:56 AM

Good Morning,

No plans again, it is good to take a break from work once in a while, hope I don't get used to it. Visit some friends today and then go pick some oranges.

Enjoy the day everyone.

lorsha 2007-12-27 08:41 AM

Snow is on the way. Coffee and work for today. Enjoy your day everyone. |waves|

docholly 2007-12-27 08:49 AM

Morning..
Just saw that Benazir Bhutto was killed this morning. Sad sad sad.

Not much planned today except trying to keep my connection long enough to get some work done.

Hope everyone has a good day.

Good Morning All :)

Simon 2007-12-27 09:01 AM

Good morning world |waves|

Rain still staying offshore from us here so it's time to go for a bicycle ride. Usually I'd go earlier but I want to ride down to the bike shop today and see about finding a saddle (seat) that doesn't feel like I'm sitting on a big rock.

Wishing a good post-hump day to all.

Get one of the silicon seats or at least get a silicon cover for yours. It's like sitting on a giant breast implant.

Ramster 2007-12-27 09:07 AM

Good Morning.

We had some old friends and their kids over that moved an hour away so they stayed the night. Poor John though had to get up at 7am to go to work while his wife is here still sleeping right now. And my wife is not feeling so well, that's what the women get for doing shooters. I stuck to beer and feel great. :D

T Pat 2007-12-27 09:17 AM

Mornin All
My todo list is getting smaller, going to shrink it a bunch more today
Coffee's on

bluebrit 2007-12-27 09:42 AM

Good morning all, were off to the inlaws for breakfast now and then it's business as usual.

Toby 2007-12-27 09:48 AM

Mornin' y'all,

Just another chilly day in the neighborhood.

|coffee is on, help yourself...

Morning.

My Grandmother passed away early this morning :( She was 86 & we knew she was going (she took herself off dialysis last week) It's strange to not be a complete wreck after someone close to you passes, but I guess knowing it's going to happen & being able to say good-bye helps.

So I'll be scarce today.

Sorry to hear about your grandmother GG...
I had a similar thing happen with my grandmother a few years ago. But no matter how well you're prepared it will always hurt.

So sorry for your loss Greenie.

Useless 2007-12-27 10:44 AM

Sorry about your grandmother, Greenie. Being a Ron & Fez fan, you know Sleeves. Aside from wonderful songs like Mighty Horse, he is actually a very good writer. He has a large collection of downloadable chapters of his podcast Atoms, Motion and the Void in the form of MP3s. I've downloaded most of them and burned them on CD to listen to while I'm driving. There's no way for a mush-mouth like myself to accurately describe the series as a whole, but if you download AMV 18 from this page, you'll hear the most beautiful and comforting description/definition of death that I have ever heard. The first part of that MP3 will be confusing if you haven't listened to the preceding chapters, but I don't think that will take away from Mr. Sleeves encounter with, and understanding of, death.

Sorry to hear about your grandmother Greenie :(

Bobc01 2007-12-27 11:28 AM

Condolences Greenie, grandparents are probably the ones we'll all miss the most.

Simon 2007-12-27 11:37 AM

So sorry to hear that, GG. I lost all my grandparents before I was out of high school, so it's good that you had yours in your life much longer. Though I'm sure that gives you more to miss about her too. (Given the choice, I'd take having more time with more to miss.)

All good thoughts to you and yours.

Oh yeah, I agree. I didn't like the original saddle (seat) enough to want to keep it so I went with the FS-CR Cruiser from Serfas that uses what they call reactive gel technology (basically some extra silicone pads positioned on the silicone base) and has both a spring suspension and a fully suspended base. Sort of like sitting on some breast implants which are sitting on some larger breast implants. Definitely very comfortable. :)

Sorry to hear that. I can identify. My mother is 82 and probably doesn't have long. She's down to 85 lbs now. But I know it's coming so it won't be a big blow when it happens. Still, it's rough. Once again, my condolences to you and your family.

Sorry to hear that, and I too wasn't a complete wreck when my grandfather passed. We all knew it was coming and he wasn't in great shape so we hated seeing him suffer. While we miss him dearly, we are glad his suffering is over.

GinaCochina 2007-12-27 02:18 PM

I'm sorry for your loss, Greenie.

SheepGuy 2007-12-27 02:19 PM

Sorry to hear that Greenguy. I lost the last of my grandparents a few years back and I still feel it. I really miss my grandfather, an old rum runner, a real character, and a good friend as well.

ponygirl 2007-12-27 02:19 PM

good afternoon everyone |waves|

still being very lazy, I don't see how I can get back into things while everyone is still home but I have to try or I'll go crazy |loony|

sorry to hear about your grandmother Greenie. I lost my closest grandmother a couple of years ago and I still dream about her. My thoughts go to you and your family.

Greenguy 2007-12-27 02:32 PM

Thanks to everyone that posted or thought about my Gran :)

My condolences Greenie
My Grandmother passed away at 86 too, it tore me up I cried like a baby off and on for days.
I've gone through the dialysis thing with the wifes Aunt, talk about depressing. Folks if you have a loved one going through it see about donating a kidney it's really not that big a thing

NY Jester 2007-12-27 02:43 PM

Greenie, Im sorry to hear of your Grandmothers passing. Ive been without my grandparents for 15 + years and I still think of them from time to time. They were a vital part of my growing up as Im sure she has been with you. Best to you and your family.

Sorry to hear about your loss, Greenie. Nice to hear you had a chance to say goodbye, though. That can be so rare.

papagmp 2007-12-27 03:53 PM

Morning all - Unlike Fonz - I slept past noon...... and needed it

Sorry for your loss Greenie - My Mother is in the same boat, cancer, high blood pressure and diabetes - we know she could go anytime and we try to spend as many meaningful days, hours and minutes as we can with her.

Keep her memories close.
