It's been a long time since I started one of these threads - that can only mean that my new sleep apnea machine came in |bananna| Of course, after 8 hours of sleep, I feel cranky & will be going back to be shortly for a nice 3 hours nap, but at least the new machine is here |bananna|

Other than that & my horrendous gas, I've got nothing |thumb

Slept with all the windows open last night and went to sleep before 10pm. I feel really rested for the first time in a long time.

My significant other suddenly is interested in Battlestar Galactica after watching Bicentennial Man a few weeks ago so I ordered the first three seasons from Netflix and we have been watching it, along with my other Battlestar Galactica fan friends, getting ready for the start of the final season that starts on the 4th of next month.

Doing the gym thing and then just another mundane day of work and errands planned.

Either you have the "8 at-a-time (Unlimited) for $47.99" plan or you don't plan on watching anything other than Battlestar for 3 weeks :D

Only two at a time but I do use Handbrake so that I can always return them the next day. Yeah probably wont watch ever episode before the 4th but watching "The Story So Far and Razor gets someone caught up enough to know what is going on.

Would have just bought the episodes off of iTunes but Universal pulled it from iTunes and put it on Amazon in WMP format which is useless for watching on the TV or on Macs. |angry|

The wife and daughter are off for the weekend at dinner time for a dance competition out of town. I play basketball tonight, am having a card game tomorrow night and likely just gonna relax Saturday. The usual work load today.

The Bitch & I usually watch the last 2 or 3 episodes of a show on demand or regular TV before any new season starts - just watched the last 2 of The Tudors before watching the 1st one for season 2 last night |thumb

Universal you say? I'm betting they moved everything from iTunes to NBC's new project Hulu.

I'm starting to think that a nice Sony laptop that plays Blu Ray's is going to be sitting next to my TV in the very near future :D

NBC Universal Drops ITunes Downloads After Apple Refuses To Raise Prices. Makes no sense since their prices are the same on Amazon.

I really like my AppleTV but could also see using a Mac mini connected directly to a TV. You would have to use a DVI to S Video Adapter. I guess then you could use Parallels to run Windows and watch WMP movies on your TV.

soo I'm sitting at my 'puter working away.. when my phone rings and it's my son's dad who already has such a thick accent that I can barely understand him when he's coherent, in a high whisper saying.. i can't breath call 911. Why couldn't his woman do that?? hmmm because even after living here for 3 years, she thinks she still in Jamaica.

do I know what his address is?? (he lives across from the Hard Rock) so i'm calling 9-11 while trying to remember his apartment complex.

they got him to emergency.. seems he was trying to unclog his bath tub with draino and poured a whole can down it. When that didn't work, he called maintenance and they poured a 2nd chemical down it. Did he open a window?? No.. did he open a door??? no..

so we spent 6 hours in the emergency room because of course since he's 63, has diabetes and hypertension they wanted to observe him. did i mention he has a golden insurance policy?? While he was sitting there.. I drove over to his place and aired it out, ripped the office a new ass and scoped out the places surrounding the Hard Rock.

today.. will be yesterday X 2...

I lost my connection a couple days ago, thought it was my Internet service provider AGAIN.
After hours of fighting with their techs via cell phone because I use Vonage so my home phone was down too, I hard wired my computer to prove that it was them and not me.
Turns out my router had burned out |banghead|
Now I'm even further behind need to go buy a router and have a 100 feet of coax I need to tuck away.

Good Morning All. I'm glad I'm sitting, because my thighs are so sore I can hardly walk from squatting down about 100 times staking down weed barrier cloth yesterday, lol. I updated my greenhouse pics this morning, so now they are up to date. The fun part is now when I get to plant everything and start it out from seeds. The bitch part is getting gravel on all that weed barrier around the sucker. Feels like every shovel weighs 20 pounds after about 15 minutes of that, lol.

Working on sites today, then more on the greenhouse later on.

TPat, glad you are back online. I'm the queen of frying routers, why I now have really big battery backup/surge protectors.

TakAngel, glad it is a smokefree day for you.

depressed...i can talk about that one, i went thru that last year and i still have my days like that, yeah maybe i cant imaging exactly how you feel, i only know you from this board but i read your postings and yes your posting hit me, and hell dont say "i hope i die soon" yes you are very sick but you have surely show how strong you are, lots of people would have give up life sooner, you are still fighting for your life and keep it that way, maybe easy talking for me, but there are more people who are having a bad disease but they still try to surfive.....mmmm i have the feeling i write chinese again....but please never say "i hope i die soon"

I hurt, in all ways, my body and my soul... this would solve everything, my poor little sis could sort out and live her life hopefully. She lost her job last April, not because she was lazy but there are less and less jobs for specialists. Funny, isn't it. I just hate to take the same steps from bed to desk and from desk to bed, combined with some treatment at times... I am bored of myself, bored of cancer and feel hopeless.

I really have no idea what to say other then to say my condolences but that always seems so empty to say. Right now I have two close friends who live locally near me dying of cancer, one has lung cancer and the other has liver cancer, and I don't know what to say to them either.

digifan - just because no one says anything doesn't mean that no one cares.

I look at this area of the board as a place to vent - to get shit off my chest - sorta like the break room at a normal office.

Almost everyone on here has some sort of problem - some are much worse than others - but I think we all do care about each other, even if you don't see a reply to every gripe you post :)

I think Greenie, you nailed. Sometimes you just don't know what to say, but I believe that most of us really care.
