Well, that's a lie for me. I'm still awake from Tuesday & on Vegas time. I tried to crash after watching The Bank Job, but I thought I might as well do some work & then sleep for a couple hours.

Got up at 3am and started working. Need more coffee!

I got up at 11 last night and today has already been productive.

Morning all. Tried a new recipe last night which turned out awesome

Make mashed potatoes but keep them a little dry. Add 1 shallot finely chopped, 1T. horseradish, 1 tsp. Dijon mustard, 1/2 tsp. garlic salt and a little pepper. Take Mahi Mahi filets and smear on a little mayonnaise (I guess this is a binder to keep the potato mixture in place) Spread a thick layer of potatoes on the flesh side of each filet. Pan fry in a little olive oil and butter on both sides until done. WOW! Was yummy! Veal steaks are on the menu for tonight with Cuban black beans and rice.

Just another thrilling day of looking at computer screens until my eyes feel like they are going to explode planned for this hot and muggy rainy day.

Temporarily dry here while the clouds restock, but I'm sure the rains will be back later this morning. Got all my errands and running around done yesterday so it'll be a good day for indoor humping. Licker's post did make me wish I hadn't decided to pass on those Mahi Mahi steaks yesterday though.

My back is aching after several days of laying hardwood flooring with my brother-in-law (yeah, the one who broke his back and hip last year) and his utterly USELESS father-in-law. How it's possible that a craftsman - an artist! like me can be presumably making the same wage as a guy standing in the way of progress while holding a board in his hand is beyond my understanding. THIS IS WHY I DON'T HAVE A JOB! He's a super nice guy, so I'm letting my very low tolerance for bullshit eat away at me rather performing my standard workplace exit, which involves the shouting of many, many explicatives and the breaking of something easily thrown. Argh!

Also, it is very likely that my parents will be moving in with me within the next few weeks. So yeah, men in white coats will be strapping me down, sedating me and locking me away for the betterment of mankind when I'm found downtown dancing naked and speaking in tongues.

Well, I feel better now that I got that off my chest. Have a great fucking day everyone.|sun

After an entire day of running and spending copious amounts of money, I finally crashed at like 9pm.

Have to take my RugDawg to the dr. today. His lab test came back and the dr. wants to talk with his dad and I. This cannot be good. They give you good news over the phone. Couple that with getting a letter from the IRS to verify my address --HELLO -- I send you $$$$ (yes 4 figures of $$$$) every farking month.. and you don't know where i live???? I probably forgot to cross a T some 6 years ago and they want to fine me for that too.

On an up note.. we're going to see the new batman movie tonight @ the Palms. Of course depending on the news from the dr..i might be in a rubber room while watching it. Anyone care to share a Xanax cocktail with me??

Time to code and work on a new version of this cms. Then a little later going to convert a bunch of movies to test some stuff. Then going to write a new little module for link list software.

Today the del mar races are opening and I normally go, but not this year as after being away for a couple weeks it's time to get down to business. Yesterday I got a call from a group all going golfing and I had to say no to that too. Bah. I just want to go have fun. This working stuff stinks. hehe

My day turned out better than I had thought. Spent some time in the pool with my son where I managed to get a sun burn, but at least it took him away from Xbox Live for awhile. Then the two of us had a pleasant lunch at AppleBee's, lounged around the house for the rest of the afternoon, and had dinner at Red Lobster when the wife came from a grueling day of whatever it is that she does when she's not here. Now, I'm feeling fat and happy.
