Good Thursday Morning

Good Morning and Happy Thursday Everyone!

Another chilly morning here, but at least all the snow has melted. Havent had a coffee yet so my brain isnt functioning yet...

Have a good one!

Toby 2008-10-30 06:45 AM

Mornin' y'all,

|coffee is on, help yourself...

Bobc01 2008-10-30 06:54 AM

Morning all :)

Snow nearly all gone here too but still freezing.

Roll on summer.

Good morning world |waves|

Nice hot coffee to go with probably the last cool morning for a few days. Temps are supposed to be going back up to the high 70s and low 80s again. I can't wait until it goes back down.

Wishing everyone a day today where you wind up feeling like it's worth working tomorrow.

:)

And the saga of the cars continues...

Chevy called to let me know that my car was ready but when I asked if the issue with the steering sensor had been resolved they claimed that they couldn't find anything wrong with it and everything should be fine. The car is running great after having all its injectors cleaned and having its knock sensors replaced but within 15 minutes of driving it the same error codes were popping up so last night we dropped it back off at the night drop. Maybe this time Chevy will actually fix the issue that caused me to bring it in and not do other maintenance on it.

Then the Toyota dealer called saying that the bank had refused Christine's car loan. So we had to drive over there and produce more pay stubs showing that she makes more money then before. She has been driving her 2009 Scion TC for a few weeks now so the last thing the dealer wants is the car back. The loan officer seemed very happy that Christine was able to come up with pay stubs from her other job that she forgot to mention that shows her making a bit more then the minimum that that bank would like her to be making for the loan. He said that the bank would be calling both her jobs to confirm so I guess I'll be getting a phone call.

My really huge absentee ballot arrived yesterday so going to spend sometime this morning filling it out and then just a day of work and errands planned. Hopefully I'll also get my car back and Christine will not have hers taken away.

Jim 2008-10-30 07:48 AM

Good Morning
It sound like you and Christine are going through a pile of crap Cleo. Good luck and don't screw up your absentee ballot. :)

And me....how the hell do you have 2 colds in 4 weeks? :) Coughing, sore throat, runny nose..etc.

MrMaryLou 2008-10-30 07:48 AM

Good Morning All :)

Good Morning Peoples |waves|

I went for a sleep study last night after talking to one of their doctors yesterday afternoon for the 1st time. I've had sleep apnea for 18 months & been on the machine for 10 - you think someone would have told me to make an appointment with one of the sleep doctors?

So I'm going on 6 hours of uncomfortable sleep with a bevy of wires attached to me. I also had a male nurse, which was kinda creepy, especially when he snuck into the room to re-attach that finger heartbeat thingy & scared the shit out of me. At least he wasn't holding a pillow :D

No big plans for me during the day, but the Sabres are playing Tampa Bay tonight |thumb

I can't believe how many pages this thing is. I only really care about two of the things on it. We are going to wait until Christine's ballot gets here so that we can do research on the other stuff together.

Morning all |waves|

Great news from the Dr. yesterday. No sleep apnea. |bananna| And my A1C (average blood sugar for the last three months) went down for the first time in 5 years. |headbang| Bring on the next pound off, the diet and exercise are working.

Only thing I'm still sucking at is getting enough vitamin B, I'm still deficient. This is despite taking a multiple B vitamin, and drinking at least 1 (but usually 2) sugar free rockstars that has over 100% of the B vitamins required. This is the only sucky thing about being a vegetarian, and probably the reason I get so tired sometimes.

Heh Cleo, do you have the same thing, and what do you do to keep your levels up? And sorry about the car loan hassles, and car issues. Hope you guys get all that fixed soon.

Have a good one all.

God I'm glad I didn't have to go through that, it sounds horrible. My brother had a bad time with it too. Here's to hoping they learn something to help you out.

Sorry, I am constantly deficient in Vitamin B12, despite taking supplements that are several times the recommended dose. Since that is something vegetarians get more often (and lately I've been Vegan) wondered if you had issues with it too?

Cleo 2008-10-30 10:15 AM

No, I'm fine other then having insane high levels of cholesterol and being about twenty pounds overweight.

I take a bunch of vitamins each morning so maybe that is why.

I take a bunch of vitamins too. My cholesterol is staying under 200 being vegetarian, but barely. After telling my Dr. about the leg pains after trying statins the one time, he says I don't have a choice I have to keep it down without, because that can become life threating if I take it. :(

Oh well, I'll research some different kinds that absorb better. My grandmother had a lot of problems with being Vit B deficient, despite eating meat, so might be something genetic.

digifan 2008-10-30 10:30 AM

Hi peoples,

Jim, I think your emotional sensibility has an effect on your immune system. Get well soon, colds suck.

Redcherry,
big congrats to you, these are great results!

Cleo,
sorry to hear the endless car stories, hope you can sort them out.

Our weather changed at night, lots of rain, dark all day, but the birdie came today again to my bedroom window to open seeds. Nice way to wake up.

sue-fl 2008-10-30 10:42 AM

Morning!

Good luck with the car problems Cleo.

My absentee ballot was one page, some of the admendments were a pain in the ass to figure out though.

Well the Rays lost last night |cry| Congrats to Phillies fans!

Have a nice day |thumb

Morning. Getting some work done on things before I get on a plane to Chicago. Also last night picked up season 2 of dexter. So i'm ripping the first two discs to my computer so my lady and I can watch it on the plane. :) Hopefully the inflight movie is something I haven't seen too.

Got a txt on my iPhone last night that iPhone users get free wifi at all the att wifi hot spots. Gave it a try this morning at starbucks and it worked great.

Have a good one everyone.

Today is suppose to be the last "nice day" we have for a few months, tonight the typical October Portland weather returns which means rain and temps in the 40's as a high, so we are spending the last lows 60’s day outside as we are getting ready for a 12 mile hike today with a 800' to 2800' elevation for 5+ miles.

Everyone else have fun today!

Fonz 2008-10-30 12:16 PM

Morning all,

This morning when I got outside at 7 AM my nose almost froze off. Damn, it's only October but it feels like January already.
I'm going to an early Halloween party this evening. Maybe if I wear a mask I'll have more succes with the ladies :)

Have a good day every one :)

What'd I miss? Why can't you just go & vote at the local polling station?

Lines hours long that I would actually have to get dressed for. Christine kept on thinking that the lines were going to get shorter but finally gave up a few days ago and also requested an absentee ballot and we are waiting for both to get here to fill them out together.

Not sure why but Florida doesn't seem to be able top hold an election without fucking something up. |banghead|

docholly 2008-10-30 05:04 PM

Morning..
The RDawg and I voted yesterday. It was a historic moment on his dad's side of the family since he's the very 1st one ever to vote in the US. His dad was there watching proudly as he read over each and every one of the races. Of course he only wanted to vote on 2 of the them, the big one and one local that one of his college professors is running for congress. I did take pictures, Here, Here and Here

His dad was crying he was so touched. We who are born here really do take the right to vote for granted.

Anyway..after that yesterday was all down hill and now I see that I posted the football picks in the wrong blog, it's 90 frigging degrees here ..send some of that cool weather.. dammit. |snowman2

Have a good day and maybe your mail box be full of $$$ |thumb

Preacher 2008-10-30 08:05 PM

Been in painting Hell the last 2 days, had to disconnect our internet connection. Been Jones'ing for email and some sudoku and now we're gonna carve pumpkins.

I can't believe how many scary movies I've watched in the last 2 days. Tomorrow will be a busy one, but at least partially back to normal. |goodnight

Torn Rose 2008-10-30 10:25 PM

Who knew a 12 mile hike from 40' to 2800' and back to 40' would take 8 hours and 12 minutes?

(I misread the map when I last said 800' to 2800')

I would honestly pay someone $ to rub my feet... anyone?

(Sorry, not you Greenie, you would get "too" into it.)

bluemoney 2008-10-31 07:51 AM
