I always need dates as early as possible so that I can plan for childcare. I thought a few of you might like to know the dates early as well, so I'm letting you know that they're posted.

It 'says' June 3rd - 5th, I guess they canned the May idea. It doesn't say The Hardrock yet.

They are closing down The Joint after this weekend and building a new one. Thats supposed to open up in April.

We stopped by there a couple weeks ago & the right side of the casino (from where the cabs drop you off) was completely different - there was a big nightclub over there & they moved the players club from the coat rack it was in. I wonder what they did with the RHCP light bulb outfits from Woodstock?

I don't care what they do with what; just stop using a fucking air horn to signal the crane, there is something called a radio that will magically transport sound over a great distance that is much more effective and quieter.

And doing a fire drill when I am on a fucking un-air-conditioned elevator for 20 mins is pretty shitty too.

The $100 I gave the staff at the Hard Rock paid off very well.

OMG.. RDawg graduates from HS on the 6th and gets his associates from CSN on the 7th. I guess the party is on me this year!!

Oh, and if everone is going to be staying at the venue (assume the Hard Rock again?), I might actually do something I haven't done in years and that is actually pay for a room in Vegas (at least for the XBiz, I'll put it with a comp elsewhere to stay the whole week)

all you have to do is call the Hard Rock, tell them you are a rated player from XXX casino..and asked to be assigned a rep.. once they find out you've been spending $$ elsewhere, they are happy to try to capture some of those with free rooms etc.

They are doing free, but like they did for the February show - if you attended their previous show, this one will be free registration. So Summer Forum attendees went to State of the Industry last month free, and attendees of that will go to Summer Forum this year free.

I'm hoping to go. I threw my hat into the ring for the seminars the other day.

But I doubt I'll be staying a couple days after like usual, unless some money falls out of the sky.

I was hopping to make it, but the money is so tight that I have doubts. Then again, there is a few months between now and then. :(

Called my casino host at the NYNY and he comped me a small suite for 4 nights.

Then I'm at the Hard Rock for Wed (All are invited for Meatpounders first annual pool tournament and get together in my suite Wed night the 3rd http://www.hardrockhotel.com/las-veg...lebrity-suite/ )

And then my casino host at the Venetian comped me a suite for the rest of the week (unfortunately the venizia was booked for one of the three nights I needed so it is at the venetian)

So I'll be in Vegas may 30-june 7

Anyone know of any killer deals happening around that time? I might stay at the alexis park across the street. I saw that I can get a suite with bar area, etc. for $69 a night. So I'll probs book that and if something else comes up or if I decide I just want to be at hard rock I can cancel. blah blah. I'll be pulling the trigger on something very soon though.

Just this last time while in vegas I went to this bar that was pretty awesome. It's right across the street from Hard Rock. Called the double down saloon. Before entering a guy stumbles out throwing up and then gets into his car and passes out. Already a good sign the place is going to be special. Inside they have a shot called "ass juice!" To top it off the juke box is filled with really good punk rock cds. Oh, when you enter... It says the happiest place on earth. Most likely anyone that wants to get 100% shitty with me will find me trying to force you to go there at some point. (preacher has been on my 100% shitty roller coaster. And lived. |lol| We witnessed a very special wedding. Super romantic.) Or maybe you just want to watch me get 100% shitty. ;)

I don't think this is better than the Orleans $25.00/night rate but does add something if you wanted to stay on or come before xbiz.

Also you might want to check out Terrible's (that's where we play bingo, as an FYI). their rates are like 31.00 per night. Easily walkable from the Hard Rock. (at the corner of Paradise & Flamingo)

Or if you want to come with a bunch people and want bigger space:

The Tuscany is all suites and has kitchenettes in it. I think their rates are in the 50-60$ range. It's also just off Paradise @ Flamingo.
