When a winner is chosen, we will look at the signup before we send out the email. As long as we don't see anything bad, the email will go out.

I signed up about 30 minutes ago but haven't recieved the confirmation email. Does it take longer than that?

Confirmation email should be instantaneous. Have you gotten previous newsletters?

If you're not getting the confirmation link emailed to you, odds are there's a filter on your system or on your mail server that's blocking it.

I don't have any filters set through my ISP. Only thing I got is blocked emails... ?

I have a suggestion - once someone wins it (I mean when I win it) can you post the names of the guys that were sent winning mails during these weeks leading to this hmmm sort of jackpot?

Yeah. I even clicked on the link on the email to go to the new signup form. If it's coming from the same email addy, then my spam filter shouldn't be catching it. I checked the spam folder just in case and it's not there either.

All I can say is try it again. We have never had a problem with the mailer. So, I don't think it is on our end.

OK, I figured it out. I used my ISP address to register again, got the subject line of the conf email, searched my email folders for the original and found where my spam filter was putting it. I confirmed the original, and I'll not confirm the second signup.

Damn spam.

Send it this way and I'll make sure that it goes to good use at MAGII. :D

Yep, once I was finally able to install the email software, we have never had anything that resembles a problem. As long as I don't attempt to send any type of code :)

So, once again, if you have any problems...it's not on our end. First look to any filter you might have and then check with your email isp. If you don't get the confirmation email, you won't get any mail. Don't use hotmail or Yahoo (I think)

And remember, we will be deleting this list once we have a winner. You will never get any mail you don't want.

Oh yeah, I have been approving all spam arrests and other spam programs. So, don't worry about that if you use anything to prevent spam.

Yah, I really need to get a second IP for my wife. It's hard for us both to do free sites or galleries without being accused of breaking the one per day submit rules.
