I was alerted to this thread over on Xbiz last night and, oddly enough, I didn't get all pissy & bash the 2 guys. Instead, I was calm, cool, and collected :D

I think you should be glad to be mellowing out. As you get to be an old fuck, you realize you gotta conserve your energy for the fights that really matter.

I got approved in an hour or so. The approval mail did end up in my spam folder...

Ohhh, let him have it , he was so full of himself and those $250k he made just this year with his ADULT CMS software whatever. And that he was hiding since the beginning of the internet and just recently registered on various webmaster boards ?

I got out of the habit of doing all the boards.

With newsletters, and crossposting at the boards i do watch, i dont think i miss much thats critical.

I don't think he is ELevatedX, AJ runs it with her programmer partner I beleive and I met him and don't think his name was Ryan. In face he didn't seem like tjhe social type at all and AJ has ALWAYS been the face of Elevated X.

His sig says Porn CMS so I assume that's his. And when you go to porncms.com there are quotes there from FantasyOne and some other old school sites so likely that is his CMS.

$250,000 in this day and age isn't easy but VERY doable. Most higher end paysites make that a month and then some. So a guy running CMS for pay sites is possible.

I used to be a member years ago, long before I discovered GG's board. It went down hill a lot so I did not visit for a long time. When I eventually went back I could not remember my password, and it was so damned complicated to register for that one that I decided "Fuck it, there are better boards about, I don't need this hassle."

Sure, if you wnat to be making money these days, providing services to the high end is definitely the way to go.

What with stratification and centralization of traffic and money and all.

In the end, I think the thread wasn't bad. It showed that people still do freesites and brought a lot of our generation of webmasters out of the shadows for a few minutes.
