Well, I don;t know about you all, but this CoLocation thing scares me a bit
 

So, I wake up today to a somewhat scary email, about colo I gather being sold to mojohost.

I am not sure what to think or expect, frankly.

On the plus Chris was just one person and if Chris got sick or worse there wouldn't have been anyone to manage his host. Mojo is a host with multiple people and a good reputation.

Just not sure if our prices and service will change. I see on their plans that backup are optional. I backup most of my servers but there are things that I can't backup.

I've been hosting with Mojo for years, very reliable, first rate support.

I've heard nothing but good things about Mojo & I know Brad is a good guy, so I'm not worried |thumb

I wished that sparky would of come on here and given a bit more info like who do I pay for last month???

colo-cation.com was my third hosting service and the best of it all. I kinda was hoping it will be the last :) I still owe Chris last month of hosting due to problems with my debit card. Right now I too see balance 0.00 which I'm sure will be fixed soon |huh
I would just like to know few things;

-if we are to stay with the old (well it's pretty new) control panel or there will be also changes to user interface towards mojohost look ?

-pricewise vs features for that price changes if any, I'm on a low budget plan with Chris but I had almost no restrictions on bandtwith and hard drive space, not that I needed it all?

-unlimited ip's, domains, emails, databases etc etc ...

-also tech support question, Chris was always very helpful regarding coding problems used on my scripts, What can we expect from tech support now

Depending on your setup the DNS may need to be put in your router or computer.

I'm hoping this is a simple merger because Chris has no time for tech and that everything else stays exactly the same, fingers are crossed.

I have some older scripts and when i first moved here it took a bit of work for chris to move everything and we sort of became close friends .. I hope he is still gonna be around .. I almost feel like I am in mourning a bit .. I am gonna miss him

Still dealing with getting my BW graph to work. It worked a few hours and then died again. Someone named Paul is taking care of it and said that the finally issues should be cleared up today.

There are more bugs than I thought. Yesterday I added two new domains and apparently they can't see them from their end. ? |huh among other few errors that I've stumped.

Bandwidth stats are still not working :(

At this moment everything seems to be ok on my end except for that bandwidth stats thing I never looked at.

Still have fingers crossed that these little bugs will be fixed and everything will look and act just like it use to or I may have to move everything again.

I usually take a quick look at my BW graph each day to get an idea of my total traffic for the day. It's not a big thing but it would be nice if it was working.

After the move, some PHP coding broke on almost every site I have hosted there.

BW stats started working today. Haven't needed to use any of the other control panel features but I take this as a positive sign.

That's exactly how I feel too. In mourning. It's days since the move and I still feel strange, like, "what the fuck is next?".

Everything is working great on my server and Foxy's server.

A little issue that I had this morning that had nothing to do with the move was taken care of in less than an hour.

I got Error establishing a database connection on a shitload of sites the other day. It was fixed, but now today, all my sites are down.....

Same here, I just sent them a ticket (I'm "colo24" BTW) ...

If it makes any difference, I had some TGPX script issues with my sites yesterday as well and I've been with Mojo for years. I suspect some system wide security updates caused issues. Both issues were corrected fairly quickly after submitting trouble tickets.

No issues here, server is purring like a happy kitten.

This board also is on a server that was part of the move, no issues either.

Jeremy I'm on colo24 also. I was having issues with cgi yesterday, then everything went down. This is the last message I have received....

"The server appears to have had both of it's drives fail. We are working on this and will keep you updated."

lol, well imagine the best host you ever had, and you had a number over the years, suddenly announcing they are outta here. So far mojo seems fine, as far as I can tell, but I keep waiting for the other shoe to drop.
