Free Sites I Hate

No offense to anyone but are webmasters getting dumber?

I am tired of reviewing sites called Busty Brunette and gallery 1 has a brunette and gallery 2 has a blonde.

I am tired of reviewing sites called Busty Brunette and the brunette couldn't fill in a B Cup bra!

I am tired reviewing sites called Suzie Gets Nailed and Suzie strips in gallery 1 and sucks a cock in gallery 2 in the last 4 pictures.

USE YOUR HEADS PEOPLE! You won't get listed or if you do you won't make any sales because you are not giving what the surfer is looking for. If I want to see bigtits and I go to a site where the model has BCup tits, what are the chances I'm turned on now and will click through to the sponsor? ZERO!

Have a good day! :)

Surfn 2004-04-28 11:03 AM

I've seen all that too. |sad|

I might add that a Busty Brunette site/gallery doesn't mean 19 pics with her clothes on and one pic of her boobs. |goodnight

Greenguy 2004-04-28 11:43 AM

I feel your pain :D

backoffbitch 2004-04-28 03:22 PM

Or my fav, site title has a hair color in it, but galleries don;t have the hair color and the design, title and sponsor on galleries are diferent.

Horny Dude 2004-04-28 06:42 PM

Sorry Ramster I thought you liked my sites......LOL

Yeah that sucks!

plateman 2004-04-28 07:49 PM

LOL yeah how about bs descriptions then when i thought they couldnt get any shorter and lame then a few people type a fuckin pharagraph for a description of a chic blowing a dude must have been 9 or 10 sentences

i am going to add to my rules and change a few and say "if You dont use common judgement when you make, title your site, write your description you will be deleted" then the same people dont compress there content well over 100 k and they keep submitting the same mistakes LOL

Surfn 2004-04-28 07:56 PM

plateman

If you use a script for submits it should allow you to set the number of characters in the fields. So you could limit the length of the description very easily. :)

plateman 2004-04-28 09:00 PM

hey surfn link admin, just have to tune it a bit, plus i was in a hurry to get it going so i used all the defaults LOL plus i am one of those certian ethnic webmasters

later dude|santa| |bananna|

Anyone can be a webmaster now.. it was never really that hard... but most of us had to "think" to make it work when we started.. that is no longer a pre-requisite :\

Sumrpal 2004-04-29 11:42 AM

Yup, what Opti said.

My favorite (NOT!) submission lately is the guy who uses the description "30 pics, free site" for every site he submits.

I used to edit and/or make up descriptions for these kinds of submissions, but no longer. I guess we all get cynical after a few years.

MrMaryLou 2004-04-29 11:44 AM

Hey Ya gotta love 30 somthing teens too LOL

RawAlex 2004-04-29 02:27 PM

I got so tired of reviewing shit sites over and over from the same lazy ass people that I now have a "ban his ass" button on EVERY submit.

Stupid people will have their submits deleted and every site they have ever submitted / had accepted / whatever dumped.

Can't read the rules? I can't review you.

I actually put "40 year old teen" in the description of a site I listed today.

I blame it on a seriously bad mood.|angry|

I blame my seriously bad mood on having to see my whiney ass ex-wife tonight.

But I digress....

Pretty much the same here. I often get a list of all their domain and ban them too. |angry|

RawAlex 2004-04-29 02:58 PM

Cleo, I have gone one worse... I have a SINGLE BUTTON, right near the APPROVE or DECLINE which is BAN THIS DOMAIN... as I go along, the ban this domain will also pull the same (or similar) email addresses and same or similar IP addresses and show me those with the option to shitcan them as well.

I am tired of endlessly looking at sites made by people who have no clue, obviously didn't read the rules, and obviously are just trying to scam. They can a FOAD as far as I am concerned.

Oh yeah, I no longer notify when a submission is blocked by IP, blacklist, or other. Tired of getting emails back from people going "why am I blacklisted" and then having to explain to them in great detail why the 9 link money bar on every page is against the rules.

Alex

DangerDave 2004-04-29 05:26 PM

100% with Alex/Cleo..

I ban first ask questions later.... The stupidity of a large number of webmasters is unfathomable!

ANY ignorance of the most basic rules, gets your submission declined, your domains banned and your listings removed.

My BL was also invisble, so every submission went thru as normal... and then got cleaned up on the other side...

Believe it or not I have webmasters with up too 400 logged submissions of which NONE have ever been listed!! Fukin hell now that is blind blatant stupidity! |lightsabe

I suppose none of you ever made mistakes as you describe here in this thread. What if you had been banned by the big boys when you were starting out and learning as you go?

I know I had many sites rejected, thankfully I wasn't shot on site, like you guys are saying you do now.

Just my 2 cents.

Surfn 2004-05-01 07:57 PM

I made newbie mistakes when I first started out. I was banned and blacklisted from some of the big sites of the time. I didn't go whining anywhere or tuck my tail between my legs and go whimpering into the sunset.

Instead I read more, networked more, researched more and few months later I started my first TGP. One year later it had 50k per day in visitors and I branched out into other areas.

After a couple of years I was making a nice living from the adult side despite my early mistakes. Despite being banned and blacklisted.

We took responsibility for our actions and some of us still do.

LowryBigwood 2004-05-01 08:08 PM

You make some outstanding points Surfn.

I'm not sure who you were talking about whining and whimpering into the sunset, but I would not advise it. :)

I was simply stating, maybe some of you big dawgs, should be a little more understanding toward the newbies that are making "little mistakes".

That's all. Hope everyone is making lots of sales. |bananna|

My point is that I "have been" a newbie. I made my mistakes and learned from them. How much more understanding can their be?

Tidal waves of conversions for everyone ~~

LowryBigwood 2004-05-01 09:15 PM

I'm sure we've all made mistakes and had rejections... If not you must be one badass webmaster. :)

It's not very understanding when you "ban first, ask questions later". I understand about the cheaters and people that do malicious stuff, but newbies deserve a break.

That is what I was referring to.

RawAlex 2004-05-01 10:41 PM

Lowry, there are margin sites that will get you declined and nothing more. However, sites that break the rules (as stated at submission time) by a wide margin are a pain in the ass to look at. The same webmaster submitting the same template with the same glaring violation of the rules is just proof that people aren't learning.

I have one webmaster that submits to be every day, and every day it is the same horrible crappy template with the same sort of horrible crappy undersized images, the same 12 link money bar to the same crooked sponsors... I banned him... and he STILL submits (I track rejected submits as well...). You tell me what else can I do?

It's a waste of time.

I feel your pain, but have you sent him an email and tell him to come to GGandJim to learn? That's what I'd do.

plateman 2004-05-01 10:52 PM

LowryBigwood i have a greenguy and jim banner on my site that tells people to come here and ask and also on my submit emails i have a link and text saying "if you dont see your site listed come here and ask"

you can only do so much

LowryBigwood 2004-05-01 10:58 PM

Plateman,

I applaud you. Atleast you are trying to help, rather than "ban and ask questions later". LOL

I really do praise what you've done there.

LowryBigwood 2004-05-01 10:59 PM

I think some webmasters forget how they got their start, and maybe their ego grows a bit... not sure... |potleaf|

No that isn't it. The business has changed. We now get thousands of submits each week from webmasters that either don't know what they are doing, using some auto submit program to spam us, submitting under many different names and e-mails, submitting the exact same template every day, the list goes on.

It isn't like this never was a problem, it's just that now there seems to be entire countries of webmasters doing it. They are ruining it for the newbies and everyone else too. :(

LowryBigwood 2004-05-01 11:19 PM

Thanks for your reply Cleo. I do understand how you feel, as I get submissions similiar to what you are talking about.

And those guys do need to be banned.... I am only trying to help the honest webmaster from being banned because of the bad ones. Which I know there are a shitload.

:)

Again, thanks for your reply, I can kind of see your side of things a bit better now.

RawAlex 2004-05-02 12:57 AM

Lowry, for the most part, most link sites get more than enough good submissions as to not need to deal with crappy stuff. You can't improve people who are using site building tools, standard templates, sponsor content, and autosubmitters to pile on the useless submissions. Nothing I say to these people will change the way it is for them. Most of these people submit the same site (different index pages) to hundreds of links sites each day using their little autosubmit tools. They don't even bother to check to see if they get listed, and they almost always are using email drop boxes that go to dev/null or never get checked.

Their system doesn't take into consideration that actual humans have to review their crappy sites, that they create endless work for link site webmasters, and make life just suck.

I closed my TGPs exactly for this reason - at one point I was getting more than 2000 shitty useless console popping scumware downloading pieces of crappy overused sponsor content crap galleries.

They can come here and learn if they really want to, but I suspect 99% of them just don't care.

Alex

LowryBigwood 2004-05-02 02:26 AM

Alex, in that case, I can completely understand, and that is not what I was really referring too...

I know you're a good man! |shake|

Surfn 2004-05-02 04:55 AM

In this biz as in any biz when you have been around for a while and mastered what you do you can look at others work and tell if they are going to make it or not. It's just that simple.

It has nothing to do with that. It has to do with people NOT reading the rules and rejection responses.

I send out rejection emails with a brief explanation of what is wrong. Yet the same DUMMY keeps sending sites with the same error. I give him the benefit of the doubt and don't ban him for 3-4 days. Figure a few rejections saying the same thing gives him plenty of time to stop submitting it but it doesn't. Ban Time!

MrMaryLou 2004-05-02 11:26 AM

We are here to help not to ban I aggree with Ramster :) I never ban for submitting unless your cheating at that.

surfn let me know, so as i dont waste any more time

Opti 2004-05-02 11:53 AM

I have always been notoriously easy when reviewing sites but unforunately even I have decided to start enforcing rules and banning webmasters... it's a time management thing for most linksites now... too many webmasters scattergun submits and dont care who doesnt list them.. trouble is, if you dont ban the ones that are obviously never going to be accepted.. you dont have time to look after everyone else properly :\

You can make as long as you keep listening and learning. I learn new things everyday. :)
