was wondering if any webmasters here follow a specific daily schedule they stick to pretty regularly. Such as

4am-5am : preview all webmaster boards
5am-8am: submit galleries to tgp's
8am-9am: submit free site to link lists
and so on and so on

just looking for more ideas to organize my time better

While I don't have specific start & stop times, my days usually go liek this:

Read email
Update the news (if applicable)
Update any of the contests (currently the NBA Pool)
Read the board
Build & submit a free site
Read the board
Review & add links, then update LOR
Read the board
Eat
Get on the tread mill (new for me, seeing as I decided that i was too much of a fat ass)
Take a nap :)
Shower
Read the board
Build & submit another free site
Read the board
Cook & eat dinner
Read the board
Watch TV
Go to bed

That's a typical day for me :)

I work 7 days a week, I break my workday up into little bits that sometimes turns in big bits.

Get up do reviews, maybe some submits. Go to the gym and maybe see some computer clients. Come home do some reviews or maybe build something. Go out and do something with friends or shop or eat or ride my bike to the beach. Come back home and do some more reviews or build something or submit something.

I also leave this board open in a window pretty much all then time.

Typical for me:

Starting about midnight I read all my email, check my stats, read the board.

After that half hour I spend approx 4 hours updating my sites.

The next half hour building a new gallery.

Another half hour subbing to all my partner accounts.

Then I pretty much spend the rest of my waking hours doing offline biz and checking the board and email.

Chatting on ICQ with friends and people with questions mixed in.

I use to chat with surfers to my sites but that got too time consuming. Although I still like chatting with people from all over the world. :)

no set schedule for me, i am very unorganized as of now

Get up up about 7:30-8am and check site stats & trades to be sure things are going smoothly and I check emails also. I then spend the next couple of hours doing reviews and updating my sites as well as poking in on the boards to see what's up. Once all my sites are updated I take a closer look at the boards and usually post a bit if there's anything interesting.

By now it's close to lunch. I shower and eat. Now it's time to make a gallery and free site sometimes too and submit everywhere I need to. Hit the boards again. Usually do some tweeking on my sites and/or update site info that needs to be done.

Dinner time.

The evening consists of different things depending on the day. Some nights I work, some I don't. If I'm working I might be doing another gallery or site or working on a new project. But usually close to midnight I start to do reviews to cut down on it in the morning. And 2-3 nights a week I like to watch a good DVD to relax. Bedtime is usually 1amish.

6:50 am check email, scan this board
7:10 am wake the kids, get them ready and dressed.
7:30 drop the kids off at school - go to other job. (for other reasons I can't do this full time)

anywhere between 4 and 11 pm - get home.
review Jays, then Marks if needed.

If I get home before 3 pm, make a free site and submit. If not, just do the above.

PM - check email, read this board, post to stay within 10% of Cleo - JK

3:38 pm - kids home from school, figure out to what friend's house they are going to or call and see where.

5:30 pm - cell phone in to tell them what to make/reheat or dinner time.

Most of the evening is email and PM's concerning listings.

9:45 pm Call or tell the kids to get to bed.

From 2:30 am to 6:30 am.... everything is crontabbed.

Then start it all over again :)

oh yeah, I did see a movie once.... once.

see what new projects we have to do at lotzadollars
edit movie clips for affiliates (yes we can make custom content for ya... just ask)
eat lunch. (tuna on whole wheat today)
take a nap
work on other things that are needed.
check for winning email
visit the board and see whats going on
watch buffy reruns
fix dinner so the kids don't hate me
work on more freesites/content
do reviews
do seo stuff
use my new gazelle elite for an hour
shower
sleep
repeat

Right now I seem to be just staring at the screen with no purpose occasionally refreshing the board.

It's been a long day. I probably should go to bed or at least get my fat ass from in front of this computer.

The kids get out of school next week.. so my schedule is about to be turned upside down.

Probably be spending half the day trying to tire them out, while not getting worn out myself. Then do my work at night.

Of course, during the school year I have to drag the lil buggers out of bed, but I just KNOW they'll be up at the crack of dawn all summer long |sad|

all i know is they all have a hectic schedules...............

8:55 am get up and rush to my 9-5 job
9:05 am arrive there start the computer and start checking this board
12:15 am go home for lunch, check the mailbox for tons of $5000+ checks
1:10 pm go to "work" again
5:15 pm go home with a big smile on my face
5:30 pm start reviewing and adding sites
7:00 pm eat
7:30 - 11:30 pm building new stuff
11:30 - 12:30 pm watch TV

I might be 30 seconds off on a few things :)

6am-12 - build free site, tgp gallery, submits, new domains
12-3pm - new sites for new domains
3-5pm - nap?, usually outside work or just jump in the pool
5-7pm - feed animals, people, read and reply to emails
7-10pm mostly relaxing time
10-11:30pm finish up work

i have no set schedule as my sleep pattern sucks
but here goes

12noon: eat breakfast, read email, go for a walk
2pm: check email , read boards
3pm: check stats
4pm: update/build sites
7pm: have dinner
8pm: watch tv
9pm: read board check emal
10pm: go out, or watch a movie
12pm: check email, learn some more PHP,
2am: build some more sites, maybe submit a freesite
5am: go to sleep

Seems like many of you have a "routine". One of the reasons I do this full time is so that I DON'T have a routine. Every day is different for me, though they do usually have similarities.

Gotta go with Sly on this one - one of the main reasons I started in this biz is because of the freedom it offers. Granted I have certain things that need to be done on a daily basis like freesite building and other slave work . . . it is nice knowing that I can shoot out to the beach - get hammered - pass out for a while - and work all night to achieve the same results!

You get out what you put in. Some work part time others full time. I know my time is my own. I also like the pride that comes with accomplishment and a fat bank account. :)

Interesting thread! I wouldn't have guessed Greenguy still builds free sites every day. I pictured little green minions running around doing all the grunt work while he cracked the whip. |whip|

I've been getting up earlier now that it's finally light out in the mornings, which suits my body clock much better. Goes something like this:

- check email
- walk dogs
- 45 min to 1 hr cardio
- breakfast while reading the boards (which is why I don't post too much. Peanut butter fingers!)
- get building

I tend to go in spurts whether it's building new paysites, galleries or free sites. I get bored quickly so jumping around keeps my motivation up. Right now I'm mostly batching content & building toplist doorways. *yawn*

wow nice thread. i dont have a set schedule at all. i usually leave a bunch of windows open and do a bunch of things at the same time throughout the day.

I agree, but if there is nothing else going on then I have a routine until about noon. Having link lists and tgps I always do my site updates in the morning and then or during I check the boards. After noon I might go out otherwise I stick to building and submitting something for the day.

My schedule is finally the way I like it.

7am - 2pm - run around crazy at the office doing whatever needs to be done.

2-4 pm - work out at the gym, usually because something at the office pissed me off hehe

4-6 pm - back at the office to wrap up the day

6-8 pm - home relaxing

8-10 pm - i'm either working again or continuing to relax :)

In bed by 10 so I can get up at 6am, rinse and repeat lol

Usually I get up at 6am, made breakfast, and start working. I shut the office at 6pm. This is all I do, no day job for me.

First I read the e-mail.
Then I build free site and submit it.
Then I read e-mail again and sort LLs e-mails in their own folders and confirm my submit where needed.
Then I check my stats (I do it after 10am - that's when it's midnight at California and day has changed in whole USA)
After that I usually cook lunch, read the news etc.
Rest of the day goes with other projects, boards etc.

But, now it's summer, my wife has vacation, we have almost 24/7 daytime (in Lappland they have (that's part of Finland, althought some people there may think differently), sun is up 24/7 all summer), we woke up when we want and sleep when we're tired. It's 6am just now and I think I'm going to sleep at 7am - maybe...

I was just reading an article about how Finland is becoming a golf hot spot since they can tee off anytime of the day/night. Sounds like fun!

I'm pretty far north so it doesn't get really dark until after 11 pm, but 24/7 daylight would be hard to adjust to.

That midnight sun as they call it in Lappland only goes for summer. After that days go dark and before Christmas the day light goes away - here in our town too - before 4pm. After New Year they start to longer, slowly, and before summer it's almost day light all day again.

EDIT: We have lots of places to play golf here, and they build new ones all the time.

One day a week I build all the sites/galleries that will be submitted that week and every other day I submit/optimize/update...relatively stressless work schedule.

12pm - 10 pm: Head to the Ghostcash office. For those 10 hours, I answer affiliate emails, build and submit galleries, organize content, prepare updates, chat via ICQ with affiliates, visit message boards, etc.

10:30 - 2am: Visit my GF and go eat a nice dinner/breakfast

2:30 - 4am: Go home and create personal galleries, update TGP's, submit and develop new SEO'd sites (not 100% pro, but I still get good listings and some extra signups).

4am: Sleep until 11 and repeat!

Days at the office: Monday - Thursday

Friday - Sunday I'm on a personal work schedule which includes finsing advertising spots, submission accounts and directing my employees as to what i need done for the next week that I'm working at the office.
