My Sites Going To Some Other Site
If I click on my page
http://www.dreamypleasures.com/pimpr...tgp33-172.html It goes to http://www.unspeakablesite.com/ What do I need to pu into my htaccess code to prevent this from happening? Thanks. Nina |pink |pink |pink |
Let me ask you...why the hell is it redirecting?
Is it redirecting to a site you own? If not get ahold of your host and have them fix this asap. |
Fuck .htaccess! Contact your host and find out why that's happening.
|
I don't know why it is redirecting.
I think maybe it has something to do with the fact that I used some freebie tgp submitter and it has that tgp king recip on the page. Thanks for your help Nina |
thats what it is....the recip call this little javascript redirect:

Thanks for lettting me know. I sent tgp king an email and m3 server an email. So, I don't have to put anything in my htaccess?? Thanks. Nina |
personally, i'd remove that line from the recip, and probably that whole recip from the page. I wouldn't want to be submitting to someplace that puts that junk in their recips
|
Damn that stupid 2257. I took all of my gallery pages off my computer and didn't make a copy of them.
What a pain. M3 Server said: because once the web browser has downloaded the .html file, the rest is done in the web browser. You will need to ftp the files back to your computer and edit them, or get someone to write a script to automate the removal of those lines. so I put this in my htaccess and it is supposed to redirect to my home page, but it doesn't. RewriteCond %{HTTP_REFERER} ^http://www.unspeakablesite.com/ [OR] RewriteRule /* http://www.dreamypleasures.com/ [R,L] Any other clues out there please?? Thanks. Nina |
Just do what majick told you to do. Remove that friggin' recip. That one line of code is the problem. You shouldn't be screwing with your htaccess file for this matter.
|
use your ftp client to download a copy of the gallery onto your computer, edit the html to remove that recip, then upload the edited gallery again... it should take less than 30 seconds

UW:
Well, I haven't been around for over a month because I had surgery and was laid up, and I see that you're still the same old fart as you always were UW. HA HA HA |bananna| |bananna| |bananna| Glad to see some things never change. HA HA HA They took out my bitch parts - so I'm as pleasant as pie now. Well, at least today I am. And, oh alright, I'll go through all those galleries and remove that stupid line of code. Damn, I was trying to find the lazy way around this. Thanks. Back to the salt mines. download the files. run bk replacem against it. upload results.
Heck, your could probably grep them out too... RULE #1: NEVER EVER EVER EVER EVER allow someone else to invoke a script on your pages. You are asking for trouble, and you got it. |
Actually, there are several software programs that do Search and Replace on pages server-side. Tucows will have one; can't even remember which one I used to have.
Not something to make a mistake using, though... |
I use ultraedit it can be found at ultraedit . com. I can change a link on every page in a file with a few copy pastes and a click. Be carefull with it because if you have a broad parameter to replace, it will do all of them that match that parameter in that folder. It is a little tricky starting out but make two copies of what you have and experiment a little.

Thanks for all the help everyone.
Pretty well have it under control now. Just a few more to go. Have a great weekend all. Nina |pink |pink |pink |
I'm just totally amazed that there are recips out there with links to Javascript files on other sites.
How cheeky is that? :D |
horrible. :(
They didn't tell you they were going to do this when they asked you to put up the recip? |
