Ok, I need so help or just some information. I am looking for my dad's real birth parents and I do not know where to start. I can start off by saying that he was born somewhere in OK. That is a state that has closed records and you can not really find anything out, they refuse to tell you anything. My dad has been looking for almost 10 yrs, but now he has no time to keep looking. he did hire someone to find out something, but they took his money and came up with nothing. So, since his birthday is coming up, I would like to be able to find one of his real parents or both. Does anyone on here, know where I could start? I really want to thank anyone right now that might be able to help or tell me where to start looking. Thanks very much.

I have been trying to find my wifes brother for years. It's a hard egg to crack but if you know for sure what state he was adopted in you can in most states write them for a request of medical history that may open a door.

We lost money paying someone who did us no good too. Have you already tried the Net Detective site? Not that they're great, but sometimes better than paying someone to look up what comes down to the same information for you. Does Oklahoma block access to all records, including things like marriage licenses, utility bills, arrests, certifications, etc?

Records for adoptions are sealed by the birth mom and can not be opened unless she wants the open. His adoptive parents told him very little about her. She kept him for 2 weeks and then was forced to give him away. He was born at The Salvation Army Hospital for unwed mothers and it has burned down. We have tried everything on the net and so much money has been gone, but he wants to find her so much and he has that right. I just wanted this to be a very good birthday for him, but I keep coming up with dead ends. It just comes down to her wanting to open the records and its been 35 yrs and it has not been done this far, I just guess that she is not interested enough to want to see him. I have however joined a program and I can post messages and maybe someone will know something and get back to me. Thanks for all the help guys:)

I had recently posted something on here about trying to find my step dads birthmom. I got alot of good ideas from people on here and I wanted to say thank u. I also had people tell me that they were also looking for someone, This familyforums.com has really been a very big help to me. Maybe this can help someone on here that is looking for a loved one. Update, I have managed to find out alittle about her and I hope that I am getting close to finding her. It would be the best birthday present that anyone could ever get him, since he has been looking for her for the last 16 yrs. Once again, thanks for the ideas.
