Is anyone these days making money only submitting FSs and Galleries?

I mean not running some kind of LL, TGP or a great network. The question is, do you think itīs possible?

Toni 2008-03-06 03:36 AM

I think it is possible, no doubt. If you build quality free sites and galleries, collect a nice number of sites where you submit to with a lot of partner account and always keep that up to date you will make with time some nice income. I think the key is in long term building and submitting so traffic and sales build up.
There is nothing sweeter than a sale from a couple years old free site or gallery. I am getting from time to time sales from free sites I build around 8 years ago, lol

Depends what you mean by making money.
If you mean big money then no, but enough to keep motivated as the money keeps on rising, then it's a yes.
I submit freesites almost every day to around 50 link lists, and galleries every 3-4 days at The Hun. Almost two years of this makes me around $1500/month, which is peanuts to some but would be great for others.

Most importantly is the fact that it's rising - slowly but steadily, which points to a bright future as long as I keep on building and growing.
I always knew that freesites were a long-term project so I'm happy.
:)

you have to submit every day and to sites that have real traffic..tgp submitting is a lifestyle, not a hit and miss deal...

Well, if it isn't there are a helluva lot of people making no money.

I still make the bulk of my income from tgp galleries, though I've been trying to branch out recently. For Feb I was a little over 8800 in sales, which was a little lower than Jan. :(

8800? Dollars? Or number of sales?
Either way you can take back that sad-face-thing!
:D

I have a long way to go.

Wow! This is the business model Iīd like to implement, how do you do this? Lol... Just kidding, donīt think thatīs the kind of knowledge you would share, would you?:D

Tanker 2008-03-07 01:52 PM

I don't submit galleries anymore myself but I have affiliates that are making a killing doing it still.

I have moved to hand written blog posts and I am getting very good sales from that.

There's no secret. I have a dedicated server, 4 paid PAs and the rest free, and I try to hand submit 2 clean tgp galleries every day to about 30 tgps. Then I work on other stuff.

I think there is two keys to make money with free sites and galleries alone, discipline and patience. Discipline to build and submit those free sites and galleries, EVERY day. Then the patience to wait a couple of months up to a year, before you will see any real result from your hard work.

However, then you should also have the knowledge and ideas how to use the momentum of your network of sites/galleries, to be able to take full advantage of it. Nevertheless, it is doable, for the right type of person.

secretagentwilly 2008-03-08 11:14 AM

$8800 in sales is a lot, what kind of effort does it take on a daily basis to pull that kind of cheddar? Are you working 20 hr days?

HowlingWulf 2008-03-08 03:09 PM

I can build and submit two tgp galleries in about 60-90 mins. Then I work on other stuff usually.

secretagentwilly 2008-03-08 05:05 PM

do tgps accept movie galleries too?

Most have a movie category, or take movies for all categories.

Choose what niche is the best selling for the month and sure will create bucks for you.

LD 2008-03-09 12:15 AM

You know, tgp's are one thing I haven't tried yet. Those numbers give me a little inspiration..:)

yeah :-)
I am sure all the gallery submitters are gonna come out and say

YES .... i make huge amounts of money

so please come and give me a thousand competitors to my small business

fresh 2008-03-12 06:16 PM

then I say NO :D

RedCherry 2008-03-16 05:07 PM

July of last year I started becoming a dedicated gallery submitter. I try to submit 3 galleries a day, every day. Since last July, I have doubled my income, and it grows every month.

Granted, I have link lists, tgps, and a few blogs. But I make over 1/2 of my income from promoting my AVS sites, and about 2 sponsors, with galleries and free sites.

Like Shemp says, it is a lifestyle, and you have to be dedicated to doing it, and find niches you can convert. :D

andrewst 2008-04-01 04:34 AM

I Make a little after 10 years of Tgp submitions
Best tgps for me are
http://www.shemp.com
http://www.tommys-bookmarks.com
http://www.thehun.com
I must have a hundred or so links on each of those sites alone over time.

Cheers

geirlur 2008-04-15 06:16 PM

I make way less than I used to, which destroy a lot of my motivation to continue. But I usually submit 2 galleries a day anyways, and some times 3. I'm not seeing much of a growth though, neither in $ or traffic :-/
