Pretty soon I'll be down to my own sites and sponsor hosted free sites!

With the exception of my GGandJ regulars... my submits are still crap! And the darlings even have the audacity to email me back when I tell them what got em rejected to tell me "oh but other linklists say it's okay!" You Fucktards! I don't care!

Sad part is these people don't realize that soon they aren't going to be able to submit whereever they want because they just don't listen.. they'll have to take what they can get... sigh.. I am NOT going to review sites before bed AGAIN.

Hey.. got a linklist? submit good sites to me and I'll do the same.. guaranteed I can read AND follow rules (seems to be a rare skill these days!)

Beejeebers 2004-11-06 11:35 PM

Wow great attitude!

Tart 2004-11-06 11:59 PM

You better believe it.. but then I'm probably just being unfair to expect people to follow my submission rules! What AM I thinking!

Tart, I have felt your pain....

#1 dont send rejection emails..

Too many "smaller" lists accept anything they see and then submitters come back and say "well all these other lists accepted me."

#2 I owe you guys a submit pass.. remind me if you dont hear from me this week.

I have a VERY short list of submitters now.. and I stick with them....

Times have changed, adn many free site builders are being taught wrong.. or ignoring the advice of those of us that have been around for a while.:(

Hi Tart,
Just applied for an account with you :)

Linkster 2004-11-07 09:10 AM

Tart - it gets old very quickly going through 150-300 submits a day that are not only crap, but from people that dont bother to read rules anymore - I only approve submissions from people that I set up in my "submitters database" and the rest just get deleted - it makes things a lot easier :)
I havent set up a pass system (although its being worked on) but its amazing the amount of submissions that go to the submit page listed in autosubmitters databases LOL

The saddest part is that they take good sponsors and content and just butcher it. The rules aren't rocket science and if you stick by them.. Between the partners we have from gg&j, the freehosted sites and our own building machine (and YES we need that submit pass, DD) we can pretty much gtd our bookmarkers and surfers mega quaility with the hassle.

I'm even closing my TGP to partners in a very short period of time. I got a terrible trojan through the submit. Now that is a TRUE FuckTard!!!! *flashing eyez at tart* |rasta|

Yeah I had to stop sending out rejection emails as I really got sick of endless emails explaining why my rules suck or it was ok for them to break my rules since they were so very special but my all time favorites was the ones that would instantly resubmit without changing anything.

Then there was all the ones that used my LL as a prescreening before they did their real submits.

Hey Dave, didn't you want me to remind you about giving me a submit pass too?:D

Can't imagine why they'd do that. :D

When I receive your acceptance email, I know the site is sure to be accepted everywhere else that I submitted too.

I haven't been doing any free site work lately but when I do I will submit to you again. (you listed pretty much all that I submitted). But on that note, I am in need of some quality submissions at my link list, so feel free to submit if you can handle one more site on your submit list :)

This goes for anyone else I may have submitted to in the past, if you build free sites.

Tart 2004-11-07 03:08 PM

Well it's good to know I'm not alone.. misery loves company hehe!
and was also a good reminder not to try and review in the evening when tired and short tempered. Reject/accept emails are now a thing of the past, what can ya do! I always liked getting them myself but then I never argued with the LL owner either.

Dave.. looking forward to getting a pass from you |bananna| I've been doing some sites with exclusive content and can't wait to see how your surfers like it!

Also thanks to those who applied for accounts despite my bitch post... you've been approved! |couch| If you are a regular here and pay attention to all the tips posted on this board, you won't have a worry about getting listed :)

Brav, I'll drop some sites your way when I get them done!

swedguy 2004-11-07 04:04 PM

Every submitter should be a reviewer for a week. After that they will see everything in a different light and I bet they would complain less about certain rules. I've built free sites for pretty many years, but since I started reviewing I've started to see things I haven't seen or thought about before.

When I first started accepting public submission, I figured one of the things I could do for people was to at least send a rejection with an explanation, just so they could learn.
That's one of the things I've always appreciated throughout the years. You read the reason why it wasn't accepted, then try to look at the site from their point of view and fix the errors on your next site.
But it looks there's way more people that like to bitch about it instead of learning.

I feel with you Tart :)

it really is too bad that some people have to ruin things for everyone else...I have been doing freesites for a couple of months now and have gone from a few listings to having almost 100% acceptance at LLs - all because of rejection emails. I would never have known half the things I was doing wrong if it weren't for the LL owners that sent them out when I was first starting. If almost every LL has the same rules, then obviously there's a reason for them.

I guess some people think they're above everyone else...I say let them dig their own holes -can't get traffic if you're banned everywhere!
