Thursday August 15 (aka 1st day of Woodstock)

I think I will do nothing today. I might think about doing something but I will resist.

Of course resisting is doing something and that would make it so I do not reach my goal of doing nothing.

Well, hell, now that I think about it, doing nothing is still doing something. I guess I will have to try to be nothing then of course being nothing is by it's very meaning being something.

I am just not going to win this argument :(

Morning! |waves|

My parents missed Woodstock (they were 23/22) & I missed Woodstock 94 due to having a full time job (I was 23) but my roommate & some friends went. We had an American flag with a potleaf hanging out our apartment window that they took with them. My roommate attached it to a tree branch & carried it around most of the festival, but they got drunk/stoned & lost it. A week later People Magazine had a write-up of the festival with 3 or 4 pics, 1 of which was all my friends posing with the potleaf flag. I have the magazine someplace & I while can't find that exact picture online, I did find a different one:

The guy with the short hair & brown army issued undershirt is the person holding the really large tree branch. I did a little digging & apparently you can buy a copy on eBay|lol|

Anyway, up early again to work in peace & quiet, but Emerald's little asshole |dog Mojo was just barking at the top of the stairs to wake up my little asshole |dog Ren |facepalm|

Supposed to go to the fair today, but The Bitch & Emerald are going up at Noon & I ain't about to spend 8+ hours up there with the unwashed masses, so I'm hoping Yell or someone else is going up later after work so I can grab a ride.

Enjoy! |escape|

Good Morning :)

GO TO THE FAIR!
It will take you 8 hours to eat all the fried food I want you to eat for me :D

Speaking of fairs, where my grandson moved to they have a county fair which makes sense in that area so I will be going to that with him in a couple of weeks :D

I did finish my binge on Westworld so maybe I'll get more work done but I doubt it!

Enjoy your Thursday!

Good afternoon |waves|

I really can't complain, after years of shit (65.3% self-inflicted) I have found myself to be quite happy, these days.
For obvious reasons, but throw in being sober, having an economy again and being creative again, you get the frosting on the cake (or however that expression is. I tried :-p)

Been working all morning, rest of the day is off. I'm exhausted. In a good way :-p

Enjoy your Thursday |dog

Finally had a chance to go get my eyes checked. It turns out my glasses are no longer working because I have cataracts in both eyes. Okay, i know that means they need to go remove them surgically. Here, we get a choice. Go through the public system and wait about 6 months and pay over 1000 bucks for both eyes, or go through the private health care system. The doctor I saw yesterday happened to have an opening TODAY to get this done about an hour and a half away from home. The cost? closer to 3000 dollars for both eyes, cash/debit. Fortunately, my inlaws are helping. I leave in about 4 hours for my appointment. This should be intesting.

I had both eyes done a few years back. 2006 was the right eye and then 2016 for the left eye.

You will love the result, like getting new eyes.
