(edit - moved from http://www.greenguysboard.com/board/...ad.php?t=30075 thread ~ Greenie)

I just read this as right now as I am getting requests to make free sites for UK programmes and saw the new post which led me here, the I done a quite a few now and am keen to learn more what LL want.

I do have a question which relates to the number of outbound links, at the moment I try my very best to make a free site less the recip table ie just three outs per page.

Do any owners here have any thoughts on this, would be helpful as I say I getting work from it so would like to get the job done right :-)

This thread is bookmarked thanks. :-)

I think you'll be safe with 3 ads per page.

Inserting random content inside the same template every day and not changing anything else (especially when there isnt much to start with) is a waste of your good money - might as well just go to a casino and drop it in a slot machine for what youre getting back from them

Please read over this thread and the one referenced at the beginning that was written some time ago - and help your affiliates make you some money :)

I do them dead cheap to be fair though I still have people moan then they get em done and to be frank they are not free sites, they look more like GG points out - two galleries glued together.

The thing re the revolving content had not crossed my mind until reading this thread, I have also BM your post re hosted free sites too Linkster. Any other info is very welcome :D

One other question I have is this, is there a preference for movie or picture content in terms of for hosted sites?

For me, I'd prefer to see movies because generally I'll have more pics sites submitted by users then movies and the sponsors have the b/w to waste.

What I especially dislike and will not list are HFS with vidcaps.

I'm just throwing that out there for sponsors that read this thread & then come here & seek advice - I think any sponsor that actually did that (like BV Cash) would get a tremendous amount of help.

GG, Linkster - I am working on some sites no started them today

here is my first would be VERY greatful of some input / feedback. I have not handed it back to the sponsor yet this is just my first cut.

Thank you for your answer,

do you not feel that a picture site however can present a bigger reason for a surfer to click through on the promise of a video clip?

I ask as I often link a picture based free site to a movie gallery and this seems to be how my sales filter through, this current project I have will have me making movie and pic HFS.

HFS with pics are fine, I list them all the time just as long as they aren't vidcaps. |thumb

1st off, |thumb for the upcoming Lady Sonia HFS's :)

The set up of the site is fine, but IMHO the content is really tame.

Linkster 2006-12-01 12:36 PM

Agreed on the content - get a little nastier with it
The only other thing I saw is the top and bottom links on the galleries (the red ones) need to stand out a little better - a larger font size
or really go for the throat and make them lime or yellow :)
And you probably only need to push the "other sites" once on the page - probably at the bottom and use some different sales text for the top links

I wanted to reply to this separately - the pics vs vid question
I would probably try it 3 different ways and watch the conversions from each
Pics
Vids
A combo HFS with one gallery pics and one vids - then see if there is a difference on click throughs

Super, with regard to the content I agree though that can be swapped which based on what has been said I will do right away.

Theres 15 of them on my desk to be done to cover the niches they have moved into, it is possibly the biggest project I have taken onboard for a third party.

Ok Folks, if you can revist this url would be good I have applied most of the changes sugested, the rest I will carry forward into the new build.

Things changed, Link colours and also the content, have to agree the more risky content looks loads better
