Friday August 16 (aka Woodstock Day 2)

Fifty years ago:

Saturday August 16, 1969

I am still trying to do nothing. I was not very successful. Ended up doing all sorts of shit.

I will be working on nothing all day today. I hope I can get it right :(

Morning! |waves|

Woke up to one of the guys in my Fantasy Football League saying he's quitting a week after he asked to get in |facepalm|

I worked all day* yesterday & when I did crash, I crashed hard. I think I slept 12 hours. So much for working a couple hours today without distractions.
*Yes, this means I did NOT go to the fair, which ended up being a good thing because The Bitch & Emmy claimed they were tired of walking around up there around 5PM so they left & went to Bingo!

Just work today |escape|

Which fair is it that you speak of? I am not sure where you are at.

I noticed the Humboldt County fair is going on right now. I went to that several times when I was stationed up in Northern Cali back in the day. That is a fun fair.

Good Morning :)

Well I have continued with the not doing much work and watching tv instead yesterday which will continue thru today :D

We got word the car my wife pre-purchased is ready for test drive and delivery if do purchase. Early appointment tomorrow to do this which kinda sucks but because it is quite a distance from our house there should not be to much traffic at least making that part easier.

That's all I got soooo Enjoy your Friday!

Evening |swordfigh

I've been to our storage and cleaned out a lot of shit, but my ex-wife and I still got one storage left. Which I don't look forward to, I think there's 20-30 boxes that is mine alone, I have to sort out at the "scene" so I don't drag lot of shit home I don't want anymore.

I got a free ticket to a Festival tomorrow, so I'm looking forward to some of those bands. All Norwegian though, small festival.

It's the Erie County Fair. I'm told is almost as big as the New York State Fair, which is next week down the road in Syracuse.

I didn't know you were up there near Buffalo.

I went to school for a year at Fredonia, had friends from Hamburg, NT, Tonawanda, all over.

I enlisted in Buffalo.

From Long Island originally.

Born & raised in Lackawanna, as were my parents, although they did live in Long Island in the late 60's & part of 1970 when my dad was in Vietnam. Technically I did live in Hamburg for a few years (used my grandmother's address for a few years - cheaper car insurance since Lackawanna is a city lol), then Blasdell, Orchard Park & now back in Blasdell about 1.5 miles from the stadium. When I had a "real" job is was up on Tonawanda. I did go to SUNY Buffalo (aka UB) for 2.5 years until they politely asked me to not come back :D

Small world :)

That reminds me, have the Bills been eliminated from the playoffs yet? |couch|

2-0 so far this (pre) season |thumb

...and they have a tendency to be "In The Hunt" thru November, so our hopes & dreams won't be crushed for at least 14 weeks :D

A friend of mine is a big CFL fan. Loves the Argos. I watch them a bit. So far this year they are a miserable 1-7. Yikes! I went to the Canadian National Exhibition with him to see them last night. The offensive line is, well, offensive. I never seen so many sacks or runs by the QB in my life. They are a truly terrible bunch of NFL castoffs. But hey, with a 9 team / 2 division league they might make the playoffs if they win a few! |loony|
