Thanks Colo-cation - I'm Back Baby!
 

I would like to take this opportunity to thank 'Sparky and his awesome Crew' for their tireless efforts. They took on this challenge of mine in a very short time frame and got me up and running in no time flat. Luckily, I had copies of everything I have ever made and submitted and aside from a few minor script adjustments, 95% of my stuff is back up and running.

I just have to sift through everything and put it in its place now and fill in any gaps.

I think at this point, Chris must be just plain amused by me. I began moving over to Colo-cation within the hour of discovering that my server was wearing cement boots and getting ready to jump off the pier. The server deciding to swim with the fishes wasn't the bad part. Realizing how much of a dumb fuck I am in leaving my most recent back-up of my biggest site ON the server was what really ruined my appetite. I was in full "fuck this" mode yesterday when Chris ICQ'd me asking if I needed any help with anything. (He wouldn't accept my request to kill me.) After being with the type of host I was with before, it's surreal for me to have a host CONTACT ME to see if I needed anything. It's nice not worrying about that shit anymore.

Not sure how hard it is for Windows users to use rsync but with a little help from Chris I've become the queen of rsync and have up to date local mirrors of my stuff and Angel's that is automatically updated each night.

Ironic that I now know how to and have this great up to date backup of everything after I moved all my stuff.

Congrats Pornrex...looks like Sparky is coming through for lots of folks :)

Hosting is so vital to our business...when it's screwed up... |angry|

I was amazed at how much faster all my stuff got when I switched to Spark's host.

I had switched for other reasons but having my stuff run much faster has really helped me in pushing even more sales each month.

I found that out today and it was a welcome treat after having been dry for 5 days.|thumb

Honestly though, I lament all the traffic I lost. Before the crash on July 3rd I was a happy boy.

Oh well, time to build and submit all over again. Luckily I have a few freesites in que now that I can submit over the next few days and I can focus on a few other projects and finally get them done.
