While everyone are not happy , I'm very happy with new FF3.I have all plug-ins I need. It's faster than previous version and runs better, for me at least.

I think "G" will soon implement everything that's good from FF3 to Chrome including all addo-ns and plug-ins because right now Chrome sucks.

No problems here

dunc 2008-10-01 07:58 PM

The only problem I have noticed is sometimes its slow when typing in textboxes - thats all though

The only issue that I've had so far is that I had to uninstall flash and reinstall it. Then had to install flash back on my ie that I rarely use.

That was annoying enough.

So far so good in here.

No issues with it so far, try checking whether you have a plugin that's running in compatibility mode or something, that tends to screw up sometimes.

I have issues that after being on all day eventually images fail to download. When I pop the URL in safari things load right up. I restart firefox and go to the same URL again and everything loads right up.

I went back to 2.0.0.17 (why must there be anything beyond one decimal?) shortly after upgrading to 3.0 for various issues. My wife upgraded a laptop to 3.0 and everything was orginally fine. But this morning she was online and said that she was having "Firefox problems." She didn't elaborate what those problems were.

NY Jester 2008-10-02 08:27 PM

Yeah its not every day, but I do see it hanging up a bit. I'll check it for a few days maybe reload it?

dunc 2008-10-02 08:32 PM

Yeah, actually Jester - I did have a problem with one the the add ons when I first upgraded - I forgot about that. But it made FF run like a slug

Ah - I thought it was just my DSL connection or an DNS issue. Which it may in fact be, but I only started noticing it after the upgrade.

And now I'm wondering if the FF upgrade is related to the problem I had loading AEBN for the past two days, although it's working fine now and I changed no settings.

spookyx 2008-10-03 12:53 AM

the memory use for me is bad, it can creep up to 500 megs. and i have tried all the "tweeks" to stop that. i am dumping it

urb 2008-10-03 07:22 AM

I'm using FF 3.0.3 and it's fine on Mac OS X. Perhaps it's a Windows issue?

If you are having problems then are you all using Vista or something?

Nah I also downgraded to version 2.016 and I got 2 mac minis, an old and damaged one, ppc with tiger on it and a 1 yr o one, leopard and they slowed down when trying version 3.x.

reyna 2008-10-03 04:04 PM

I got no problems with FF version 3... besides, it's faster than the version 2 for me ;)

stormtrigger 2008-10-04 01:42 AM

Much faster than IE 7 and Apple Safari. Crashes sometimes on sites like Facebook.

PhoneMistress 2008-10-04 10:52 AM

It is much slower, hanging me up, crashing and it did something strange with my video settings. If I knew how to downgrade I would. Instead I'm "testing" Chrome until they come up with a patch or something.

secretagentwilly 2008-10-04 03:00 PM

I'm not sure if I'm having issues...I recently upgraded my webroot spysweeper and they added a desktop feature that blocks everything from going to the internet, I have to allow it manually, and now my i-tunes won't shut down...I get the non responsive and have to close it via task manager...however, I did update FF3 and webroot close to each other

Mike-mijen 2008-10-07 04:11 PM

Yeah the new version says it crashes when I exit. I just ignore it and move on.
Peace Mike
