Anyone have a problem with the enter links here?

Hi LL owners,
http://www.cfnmparty.co.uk/fuck_my_wife/
Just wanted to check if the site entrance and sponsor 'go directly to' links are going to cause my any problems before I submit rather than after :)
Thanks in advance.
Jel

Works for me.

jennym 2004-08-16 09:07 AM

Looks fine to me. :)

Cleo 2004-08-16 09:26 AM

I would reject it

Ghost&Lliandrin 2004-08-16 09:39 AM

We would reject it too. the word enter should only appear once on the actual Enter Link for the freesite. Oh and it doesnt fit on 800x600.

Kezza 2004-08-16 10:49 AM

I would accept that page... I only saw "enter" once ... maybe you changed that sinced the last post... Its a large link to the sponsor which was "sold" earlier in the page, but clearly indicated where to "enter" for the free galleries with the site title

I havent looked at the rest of the site

ladydesigner 2004-08-16 02:20 PM

I'd reject it for the flashing "Enter Here" on the sponsor banner on the index page.

Hi G & L,
Didn't spot the word 'enter' on the banner until I saw it mentioned here, that's easily taken care of though :)
Should fit on 800x600 though as the table is set at 750, unless I'm missing something? Please point it out if I am, I'm not proud lol :D

Hi Cleo,
What would the reject be for? The 'enter' on that banner, or the 'go directly to' link?
Thanks :)

It doesn't fit at 800x600 for me either. My guess (without looking at the code) would be the recip links grouped with that vertical banner pushed the table width over 750. I always make tables a max width of 740-745 and make sure what's inside the table doesn't add up to more than that.

Jel 2004-08-17 12:06 AM

Thanks all,
Table is sorted now :)

ladydesigner 2004-08-17 07:06 AM

Fits on my screen now. :-)

Kezza 2004-08-17 08:13 AM

I did see the word "enter" on the banner... but it was very obviously a banner... so didnt even consider it as blind... still dont.

Without that text on the banner though I am more inclined to see that pic as a blind clickable thumb... I guess we all see things differently :)

Has happen to me many times. Usually with animated .gif banners. I stare them and check everything but somehow I miss that screen that says enter here...I need stronger glasses, lol!

OK... I see that as a really good point.. as a surfer would you have seen that little flashing enter link on that banner to say.... here are the free galleries that I was expecting when I clicked that link from link fab or link o rama?

I worry that we .. as link lists are getting a bit too pedantic

Aaaaaaaaaarrrgggghh!!!!!!! lol
Kezza, even though that banner says amateur pics, which IS what shows when that banner is clicked (not to mention it must be obvious that vertical banner is in fact a banner?) is it still considered blind? There are no thumbs there...
Thanks :)

Hi again Kezza,
I see both points here, the 'trained' surfer may not even notice the blurb on the banner, but the guy who is on day 2 of his internet experience may get confused, so I can relate to that. The p[oint is, I suppose, that you want surfers to TRUST your LL, and for that you can be as pedantic as you wish, after all, it is your LL/business at stake. Having said that, the next bunch of people who are ready to open a LL may be more 'lax' which may result in more submits etc. It all boils down IMHO whether you want to be listed, and with whom.

LOL Asolutely right!! It is obviously a banner! Which is why i didnt have a problem with the enter on it in the first place! :D

PS.. I would not have rejected it as a blind link thumb.. was just saying it could be considered one... given that it had been considered an enter link to begin with. Maybe its me that is getting pedantic!
