I was gonna stick them in a table above the enter link on the site. Have been advised to keep them off the top of the page. Another question is are auto submitters any good for getting free sites noticed?

Auto-submitted can and will get you banned in some places. As a rule linklist owners dont like Auto submitters.

Thanks for the warning. If that is as you say the case then any pointers as to how i pick the right LL to submit to?

Best rule is submit to a bunch, look at the traffic, sales, and activity you get as a result, and try different combination until you get the desired results.
