Cleo, why do I need to click 2x on your submit link?
 

I thought it was a fluke the first time.

But every submission I must clcik your submit link once...that reloads the page.

When I click it again it goes to the submission form.

It does this in Mozilla and IE6.

Some sort of Auto Submission counter measure?

Actually Alphawolf, I was wondering that same thing not 5 minutes ago when I was submitting a site to Cleo. I get a page refresh the first time then the submit form the second time. And my firewall is all hardware.

Cleo just said something in another thread about having the submit page .htaccess protected to make sure the referrer is her rules page, but I don't know if that would give this result.

I usually drive over to her house and drop my subs off. :D

You mean the fact that you have to scroll past those annoying list of rules before you can click on the link that takes you to the actually form?

as you can not bookmark the actually form.

The url of the form changes every now and then. This keeps me off of the autosubmitters. It also forces people to have to see my rules page.

I always go about submitting by using the site's recip table I just FTP'd to make sure everyone is linked properly.

So, I enter your submission form from your root domain and click webmasters.

Then I scroll down your rules and click on the first "Click here to Submit to Cleo's Links"

That has a wacky URL:

href="porn/tasty-sweet-creamy-and-yummy-mmmmmmm.shtml"

I click it. It reloads your Rules page. I click it again and it then goes to the form.

It's not an odd behavior...it's happened everytime I've submitted. No biggy. Just a curiosity that adds time to the wonderful submit process. :D

If she worked for Microsoft, (when hell freezes over) she'd call that an undocumented "feature" ;)
