How many times do you submit with no listing?

Hey good peoples :)

This thread http://www.greenguysboard.com/board/...threadid=10663 brought a question to mind, as I wasn't listed by JK either.

How many times to y'all submit to a place that isn't listing you? I know in TGP it can take awhile, but free sites seem to be a whole 'nother story. I want to make sure I give enough time to develop a name and for sites to know I'm not a cheat, that sort of thing. But I don't want to continue to give valuable recip space to a site that isn't interested in my work either.

So what is the norm that you guys you use before deciding to give up on a site listing you?

Thanks much!

If it's not listed 48 hours after you submit to me, then stop by here & post :)

I am at about 11 days backlog right now.

When I get new LLs to submit to...I put their reciprocals together and give them 30 days worth of submissions (1 per day)...after the month is over I check my logs for traffic....any sites that sent me absolutely nothing get removed and those that did start getting mixed in with my regular LLs.

It's been quite a good system for me since it takes me no extra effort to setup a mirror site for the new LL submissions.

I'd give at least 3 weeks before giving an LL the can....I submitted to some mid July that weren't listed until mid August but the traffic I'm getting is well worth the wait....and since I submit regularly now to them I get new sites listed almost every day with them.

I've been trying to get listed on LOR since '96 but to no avail |sad|

Thanks, GG and jennym. That kind of gives me an idea of how LL submits flow from the owners perspective. :)

Bunnyhop, that sounds like a great system, and one I shall have to steal...erm...borrow. ;) Since they are all new for me right now, it shall be no trouble to implement.

Surfn...Really? You poor thing. Since you have had such bad luck, I shall be glad to sell you some of my superior free site templates for the bargain basement price of...oh, I dunno, let's say $5k each. Deal? |jester|

One month and if I don't see at least one click then the LL site gets dumped off my submit list!
