I Hate Hurricanes
 

In 3 years I've been hit in 3 different states by 3 different hurricanes. Last weekend SC was abused by a hurricane named "Gaston" and now we're on the look out for Francis. These things have kind of girlie man names (no offence intended to any one) which makes them even more annoying.

Last year I was hit in Alexandria, VA and we were without power and water for 2 fricking days. This is the home of the Pentagon and this area should never be without such things.

The year before that I was hit in Florida. I was stranded with a Thai bikini model and we had no power. Maybe that wasn't so bad.

But damn, I'm getting tired of hurricanes!

I still would like to witness one some day. I have slept through both a tornado in Iowa and a Huricane in Florida.

I put up shutters over my two biggest openings.

Then I get in and turned on the TV to hear that the storm is losing organization… well fuck if I did all that work it better not change its fucking mind. LOL

I have about a dozen much smaller windows and if I wake up tomorrow and it looks bad I'll put up shutters over them as well, shouldn't take me more then about 2 hours to do…

I still think it is going north of where I live and we will only get some nasty storms, but all the computer models are now taking it just north of me.

Jim they suck. You loose electric and end up having to use a BBQ to make coffee and since you loose A/C it is just fucking hot and sticky.

Brett has THE noisiest cat I have ever seen in my life, Ill make a video of him when this is all over, so we got just a few hours of sleep last night to add to the stress.

I love that cat to death, awesome attitude, so laid back, just SOOO FUCKING LOUD AND NON STOP!

Is it a female cat in heat? I've resorted to fucking a cat with a Q-tip rather then listen to it all night.

When I was a kid, one of my cat's would eat those metallic icicles off the Christmas tree & we'd have to pull them out of her ass once she digested them. For some reason, the Q-tip cat fucking brought that memory to my mind :D

Nope he’s a male and he’s snipped, he just has a very loud voice, and when he wants he’s louder then some dogs.

He’s doing it to get attention, not out of fear; he’s a very laid back cat. So far for most of the day he’s been dead quite, so hopefully it will last tonight, I need some sleep.

Cats are the only animals that ovulate each time they have intercourse so a litter of kittens can have different fathers.

Not sure what that has to do with pulling stuff out of a cat's ass while screwing it with a Q-tip but it is an interesting bit of trivia.

I just finished watching Jeb Bush on FNC...he's pretty clueless like his brother..."OMB is here...I can't remember what that stands for.." LMAO

After hearing big electrical explosions my power went out, but then it came back on at which time I heard more electrical explosions. I'm happy that I have power again, but very surprised that it did come back on. I think when it went out last summer for almost 14 hours after a tree touched the lines they replaced the fuses with some kind of circuit breakers that auto reset themselves.

I have about 3 hours of battery backup for my internet if it goes out again so at least I'll have something to do unless the cable gets knocked out.

I'm still hearing electrical explosions. The power lines run between the houses in my backyard and there are large trees intertwined in them on my whole block. They used to keep them trimmed but then due to budget cutbacks they no longer trim them.

The wind and rain has really picked up and I'm seeing things go flying by outside.

It might be a moot point for this time, but something to think about for the next one - I have a natural gas powered backup generator that will run 14 circuits in the house if the electrical power gets knocked out.

I actually was looking at them a few months ago when I was at Home Depot. I just didn't feel like spending a bunch of money on a big ugly machine.

Anyway I can always go down the street and stay in my neighbor's 48 foot boat since it has its own generator. :D
