Google Spidered my site over 1,000 times
 

Looking at my states this morning googled spidered my site 1045 times last night. I have never been spidered more than 50 times in a day on any of my sites before.

I have around 100 html pages and 250 dynamic pages, does that have anything to do with the number of times I was spidered

I don't know how G treats dynamic pages, Pat. The rest depends on your linking structure, sitemap, inbound links, etc. It is strange, however, that you were spidered that many more times that usual. This update is more unusual than any I've seen in a while.

Googebot hasn't been around much in the last few weeks. I'll be interested to see what the stats look like tomorrow. Mine cut off at midnight and I'm far to lazy to go look at the active logs.

about a week ago google spidered one of my sites over 500 times...made me wonder too

Anything dynamic- the spider goes nuts sometimes.

Bots will register hits for every request they have to make, just like a browser...

has 90 internal links and 50 images - thats 150 hits just for loading the front page.. add the 90 other pages and Google has been by once!
