tunneling of banner/ad-clicks allowed ???
 

The subject might not exactly say what I would like to know but I don't really know for sure myself - so here is the question.

What if I would point all my textads on free sites to a niche specific directory instead of the sponsor link and just redirect that niche specific directory to the sponsor.

That would have two purposes for me:

1. If that sponsor conversions begin to suck for me I would just have to change the folder redirect to another sponsor and would be done with it instead of changing every textad on all sites that belong to that niche.

2. The redirection could be set up to sent for example French users to a French paysite and so on....

What do you linklist owners say, are you okay with something like that? Wouldn't you allow both purposes or would you just be okay with the No.1 but the No.2 is a no no??? Whats you opinions here...?

There's another thread going on with this same question someplace around here & one of the points that was brought up was that with this method, your not really promoting a site, but rather a niche & it's hard to sell the surfer on joining any old anal site as opposed to talking up a named anal site.

I think I remember this thread but I just can't find it...anyway, you got a good point there Greenguy and I honestly didn't really think about that.

The idea just came because I'm just in the middle of setting up phpadsnew and it seems to work pretty fine for imagebanners, especially the usual sizes - but my textads are all different. Setting up a new banner for every textad on a free site in phpadsnew is just too much for that thing, at least I think so and after some free sites the good overview that phpadsnews provides is pretty much gone I think...

Looks like I will stick to good old hardcoded banners/ads on free sites.

physio - you can always use one of the three sponsor links to go to a page that has (in this case) a fpa that you make for a niche - with say six different anal pay sites - and a table on the bottom that has other niche fpas linked with text in case they arent "just" into anal. The link on the free site can say something like "check out these other porn sites" or something similar - and then you can always change the six anal sites on your fpa using the phpads program - rotate them whatever :) - I think a redirect/refresh directly on that fpa would defeat the purpose of really filtering your traffic - wheras if you made those 6 links on your fpa to anal sites something like general anal thumbs, it wouldnt matter what sites they went to

Linkster, when reading your post I start to realize that I could do far more than just sending them over to a paysite with one click. What you said about the fpas is definately worth a try and opens up some other ways to push them into the right direction as well...giving them another or choice or whatever...thanks :)
