problem with mpeg and avi compression
 
when i try to cut down 15 sec from all movie in mpeg by TMPGEnc program i have file aboyt 2,5mb (in mpeg) next i resize resolution by VirtualDub and save file as avi and then i have size about 3,5mb what the fuck is goin on?

what to do to compression 15sec file (avi or mpeg) witv 160x120px to about 200-300 kb how to do it

help pease

try the .wmv extension it cuts my mpeg files to half the size they were

You shouldn't really recompress a mpg its already been compressed.
If the orginal is in AVI yes ,but you probly have the bitrate set too high .
If you have the avi use a CBR of 650-700 depends on how it looks the lower bitrate smaller file.
Compress it with Motion search at high quailty.
Don't submit it to the hun they like vids and your burn 100-300gigs BW

I always use the one your using .how large is the AVI file and how many seconds is it

Windows media encoder will chane it to wmv

its 15sec avi in 160x120 resolution (bilinear from 320x240 with Divx MPEG-4 Fast Motion) and it has 2 800 KB

if not mistakin the have a set vbr not to familar with divx encoding but you might try out wme 9 series to make it wmv

Video Charge will do the work for you. Very easy software and very cheap to buy.
