Now that's a cup of coffee

Until today, I have always had basic crappy coffee makers. We just received our new Cuisinart DGB-600BC Grind and Brew coffee maker. It grinds the coffee and then makes a very tasty brew :)

Damn...I really can't remember a better cup of coffee. Well worth the extra few bucks :)

The best coffe I ever had was at my old trucking job back in 89-94 - there was one of those big 30-40 cup things in the office & for some reason, that coffee tasted really, really good - or maybe it was because it was usually 6 AM when I made it there & was 1/2 asleep :D

Of course, I am looking forward to tasting some of Jim's coffee during my next visit :)

Hey what do you guys think about Tim Horton's coffee?

Jim 2004-09-16 01:11 PM

I just ordered a 1/4 pound of Kopi Luwak coffee beans just to try it out.
http://www.dreamship.com/kopi_luwak.htm
I paid $65 for it but...I just had to try it. It's a little nasty the way it is collected but, what the hell?

Yeah...Tim's is good...

Do you like Espresso though?

I myself can't stand espresso...

Cappuccino is okay, Latte is not bad...

but my personal favorite is Greek coffee :) for bovious reasons! ;)

I own like a dozen coffee makers including some that I've paid hundreds of dollars for and I keep on going back to one of these and Bustelo coffee.

The owls are not what they seem ....

I'm not that keen on coffee - gets me all confused (OK more confused, whatever) - but I've just been reminded of a delight that I haven't sampled for a while.

Time to dig out and watch for at least the 5th time the "Twin Peaks" videos.

Doing doing doing, doing doing doing doing ...

Coffee is like a religion for me, I put the beans in the freezer so that when I grind them, they grind up finer and give more flavor.
Then sometimes I like to put in alittle Yukon jack with a little cinnimon, when I bartended, my customers got hooked on that!!

We do espresso in the morning. My wife like it like latte, half of hot milk and half of espresso. I made it in our Moccamaster.

I have espresso machine but got tired because it's so complicated to use and I'm lazy old fart, so I tried if I can make it with ordinary coffee maker (well, Moccamaster is not ordinary, it's the best you have here). It worked well.

OMG the BEST!!! and i used the last of mine yesterday and my new order hasn't arrived so instead of using the "name" brand.. i just fluffed up the grounds and re used them.. and it was still better than any other. and NO fucking UPS today either.. |angry|

I hope they take on Starbucks. Gosh its odd to say but for the 2+ years i lived in Seattle the best cuppa coffee i had there was a little coffee shop that brewed Royal Cup. Starbucks, Seattle's best, Tully's they all have this bitter after taste.

I also use DD coffee..But I grind it fresh every day for each pot..I sometimes mix in coffee beanery blend and it's really great..
Something really fresh and robust about DD coffee, tho, imho..
I use a braun coffee pot with the gold washable filter..wonderful..
