We still haven't got a name for her, so using poodytoot for now. She's actually living up to her name and cowering behind my office couch...so maybe I'll keep her name as Pussy :D

My cat is 5 yrs. old now and he is the best.

Take your time when naming her. I feel that its best to see what she responds to. We came up with samson's name because he is a DLH and we knew we were gonna groom him. He actually loves the haircuts.

Its the baths that he's not crazy about - just like any other cat out there!

Thank you for the nice comments folks! :) She really is a cutie and I fell head-over-heels with her on sight.

She's settled in really well. Bit timid obviously at first but this morning she's all over us all and has been playing her toys. I expect she thinks it's christmas here compared to cat's protection place. :)

Forgot to say. I named her Ginny. I've just finished reading the Harry Potter series and she just reminded me so much of the ginger-haired Ginny Weasley. :)

Just got a call from cat rescue and they asked if we'd like to give a home to Ginny's sister. They've been keeping her this long because she was apparently a little unsettled or something.

That is the cutest pussy I have ever seen.

I have two Maine Coon cats. They are the only indigenous cat to America. My girls, Thelma and Louise, who are sisters when fully grown can get up to 25lbs. They are already bigger than 3 of my 5 dogs. Males have been know to reach 35lbs. Now that's some big pussy.

Your girls sound amazing. Would love to see some pics if you have any. Ginny's sis has just arrived so I'm going to help settle her in. Looks like she's going to be spoiled; April's lugging a couple of shopping bags. Wonder how the reunion will go.

Kristan, I'm so happy that you decided to take her sister. You must be a very kind soul. Both are going to be so much happier. It's so much more fun to watch two pussys playing than just one.

Thanks, Victoria :) You can see the difference in Ginny already. Whereas usually she'll be snoozing at this time of night, she's now roaming around the place, giving sis the guided tour. Looks like we need another Christmas stocking now as well LOL

I had 3 dogs and one kitty...never really had a cat, so I treated her like one of the dogs. She could sit and "bark" and walked on a leash. Quite the spectacle - two goldens, a pointer and a kitty going for a walk!

All deceased now, but great memories!

Animal-free zone at this apartment complex....not having hair all over is nice, but very lonely without an unconditionally loving friend.

Mac reminds me of my Samson - same attitude - which is just fine by me when he needs to relax.

As for Samson, a toy filled with catnip has him all zippy again! I like that because having a zippy 5 yr. old mostly indoor cat, is much better than a lethargic all day sleeper that eats like a horse type of cat.

And Nina, you should look into getting a short haired. There are many cute little short haireds out there. Just a suggestion.
