Going to be very scarce 10-15 days
 

Hi All -
Just an fyi -
I will be Very Scarce for the next 10-15 days or so.
It's sugar beet harvest time here, and I will be helping out a friend until it's over. They have about 2300 acres to get out.
12 hour shifts - mine will be 2am to 2pm. Should be right around 50 people helping this year.
Last years harvest was 12 days, this year probably a bit longer. (rumours of snow in the forcast)

I'll take the camera with one of these days so you can understand the complete fiasco this really is. Fun to be in the middle of it, but a pain in the ass if you're trying to drive a car around here. There are literally thousands of trucks on the road.

My job is really boring, 2.5 to 2.6 mph cutting the tops off the beets.

And hopefully I'll be porn refreshed when it's over, suffering from a burn out at the present time anyway.

Time to cook something and get to bed.

Sounds like fun to me, probably because I've never done it :)

After a few days you'll be say "Seemed like a good idea at the time". LOL Seriously, things like that are good for biz as it does get you refreshed. A good reason to go to conventions, it brings you home motivated.

That does sound pretty cool, but I think I'd take the 2 PM - 2 AM time :D

Couldn't take the 2PM to 2AM shift - (I was the last slot they had to fill)

It's too hot for sugar beet harvesting until the weekend.
