Good Sunday To Everyone :)

Morning!

I'm awake & realy have no idea why - LOL - I think I was eager to see who I was actually able to pick up in my FFL :D

I'll be on the couch watching football all day - hope everyone from FL is OK

And a fine Sunday Morning.
I also have plans of doing a lot of nothing today.

Good Sunday Morning!! :)

I will be working on some load balancing stuff this morning for a client and then will be traveling down to outside Detroit to spend the week finishing up with a Texas Hold Em tournament.

Have a great Sunday all!

Good Morning everyone.

I too hope Florida came out alright.

Good day, folks :)

I was thinking of Cleo, too..
It was the first time since record-keeping began in 1851 that four hurricanes hit Florida during the same Atlantic hurricane season, which runs from June to the end of November.

UPSs are very annoying to listen to.

Power came back on this morning but now it is back off again.

Sunday already, hard to tell with all the storm shutters up and no electric. Doesn't look too bad outside. I don't see any trees down but it does look like mother nature got sick and puked all over the street I'm on.

I'll be around all day sitting in the dark lol.

Guess I should go BBQ some coffee or maybe just go back to bed.

happy sunday..

got to run to the Palms, got a last minute email this morning.. from one of my friends who needs to join their local G.A. chapter to make a last minute bet for him.. oh the joys of living in Vegas..(where i'm sure this is probably illegal too)

Tart left me a message that she's on battery and dial up but survived.. WHOHOOO

Cleo, glad to hear the mangos survived.. and coffee is coffee even BBQ'd.

Hope this is the last one this year!!

Tart 2004-09-26 01:45 PM

Figured I'd check in and see what's up... just got done bbq'ing our own coffee now that the wind is not quite as bad :)

Our house is in one piece although we do have someone else's screen porch in our back yard. Power is out pretty well everywhere...few pockets here and there with lights on but not many. Hopefully it wont take weeks to get it back as it's already hot and miserable... don't mind taking cold showers and heating stuff on the grill but the humidity is unbearable.

Our backroom got a ton of water blown in under the door... gawd I'm glad we didn't start doing any remodeling work! Was going to replace carpet and everything anyway so not a big deal.. just messy.

From what I've heard on the radio, officials are very pleased that the barrier islands aren't in too bad of shape. Not very many people (including us) evacuated even tho a mandatory order was in effect.

One final note... this board takes freaking forever to load on dial up!

Power came back on again not long ago.

Looks like the next block may be without a few days as there is a huge ficus tree covering the lines. See today's good morning thread for my views on ficus tress now.

Just seeing the muddy mess that I made of my house this morning taking down the shutters and doing minor cleanup has reaffirmed my discission to go with tile in my entire house.

I love living in south Florida so I'm just making my hose more hurricane friendly. Waterproof tile floors, no more huge ficus trees, and a generator and I should be fine for next year's storm season.

Happy to see you're ok Cleo, was thinking about you last night as I was watching the storm coverage.

Hubby is downstairs watching Nascar and I'm upstairs gambling online. What did we do with our time before computers!

Florida needs to seal itself in that Glad Cling Wrap so the hurricanes bounce off of it.

Have a relaxing day all.

Nina
