I don't see anything unusual or weird about her name?

You want weird...a friend of mine has a daughter that is going to name her baby (due in two months) "Coltina" Colt for the Indy Colts and ina for Indiana. Now that's weird!!!!

urb 2004-09-28 09:45 AM

Hmmm, I guess it's just a case of English slang that isn't used in the USA.

Greenguy 2004-09-28 09:59 AM

Ok - I know "ginger" means red hair, but what's "minge" slang for across the pond?

This is what I found

http://www.thefreedictionary.com/minge

Unfortunately for the girl, that is her last name, so there isn't much the parents could have done anyway.

Red pubic hair, now thats a nice name :)

thrillho 2004-09-28 10:14 AM

Thanks for posting that definition, jennym--Richard's Realm has occasionally used "minge" or "minging" in the description for free sites of mine that they've listed, and I've often wondered what the hell that meant! |confused|

Greenguy 2004-09-28 10:48 AM

Upon further review....THAT'S FUCKING FUNNY! |jester|

maxdaforce 2004-09-28 10:58 AM

surely a wind up?

urb 2004-09-28 11:12 AM

Anglo-American translations r us.

If anyone else wants a part of Richard's Realm translated, just hit me up on ICQ.

kristian 2004-09-28 11:47 AM

That's fucking tight! |jester|

Minge = Pussy
Minger = Britney Spears = Ugly Biatch

Luckily (or not depending upon your perceptions :) ) us gals can nix a last name with marriage. Maybe she did and faired better. Poor girl, she probably has no idea.

LOL nice one Urb.... "Ginger Minge" would get a lot of hassle from her classmates out here... :D

The new 'thing' out here is fancy names for your kids.. My "daughter" goes to day care with...

Brianna
Mika

etc..

Makes me laugh that all these yuppie parents think they are being cool.... if only they knew..

Ok, everyone should understand this one...

A British couple named their son Drew Peacock.

Full story here.

AcidMaX 2004-10-05 08:42 AM

Well thats like that Nascar driver: Dick Trickle

or the Lions player (possibly ex now)

Harry Colon

I mean come on. People need to think at least a little bit about the abuse factor.

spacemanspiff 2004-10-05 08:54 AM

I'm naming my next tricycle motor Nosmo King. |bananna|

Sarah_Jayne 2004-10-05 09:23 AM

lol..I hope she didn't go to the UK as an exchange student at any point. It is like when Americans come over here calling their bum packs fanny packs...um fanny means something else over here.
