How regimented are you?

I've been doing the adult webmaster job now for awhile. One of the things that attracted me to it was the freedom from a regimented time schedule.

Having suffered from bouts of insomnia in the past, the idea that I could sleep and awake withoug a set schedule has appeal. While certain things need to be done daily not many have to be done at any particular time in that day.

Lately my schedule has become really bizzare. Sometimes up at 6:00 in the morning, sometimes up at 1:00 in the afternoon. At times days blend into each other.

I've begun to wonder if I might not be more productive with some sort of regimented time schedule.

Just wondering how all of you self employed webmasters in a similar situation handle this. I know what works for one doesn't necessarily work for others. Just curious about others experience.

Those tasks that are monotonous by nature, I tend to perform in a scheduled manner. These are no-brainer tasks like building and submitting, monitoring / adjusting adwords, etc. I find a regimented approach leads to time efficiences and, since they're quite boring, I appreciate finishing them sooner than later.

I do, however, feel it necessary that a greater part of the day be spent in something like a creative bubble. This is the realm of innovative ideas. I drive out and meet my business manager who handles my offline stuff and have a drink in the pub. I play tunes, have a doze if I want, and put my mind to work on the parts of this biz that I like.

I'm not as bad as I thought I'd be when I quit my job in the "real" world.

I haven't heard an alarm clock in about 5 years - LOL - but I still get up every day between 6-8 - I work & read the board til hunger overtakes me, so I eat, then get on the tread mill, shower, nap, work some more, eat dinner & either work even more or watch TV with the bride.

I thought for sure I'd be sleeping til noon every day & drinking myself silly more than I do :D

Pretty much what Greenguy said.

I would probably work later in the night then what I do if it wasn't for the fact that hair starts growing on my eyeballs.

I probably would get out of the habit of getting up early if t wasn't for the fact that I have to interact with the real world every now and then.

I don't really watch TV so when I'm home I'll usually be at the computer for lack of anything else to keep me amused.

What day of the week is it anyway?

My "wake-up" alarm is penury. It transcends tiredness, boredom and tediousness.

Does being awake at 5 in the morning tell you? :)
I am just like you hours all over the place, but I find that I have long bouts of productivity, between 8-15 hours.
The real problem is I put on 50 fucking pounds in 2 years! Damn computer |pcsucks|
