fake tgps?
 

Hi everyone...

I was reading an article about "fake" tgps & how it was another way to drive traffic to your sponsors...I want to know if this is an acceptable thing to do?

I know it would depend on traffic from my freesites so would a link on the index with the linklists be ok or would I have to count it as one of my outgoing links?

I was thinking it would be a standalone, not linking back to my freesites, but was hoping for a way to increase my sponsor traffic while I try to build my main site into a membership site, + it would be a good way to learn about tgps too.

Just want to make sure I don't have anything associated with my site that's not totally acceptable to the LLs, as that is where I do get my traffic now!|smooch|

As long as you don't go over the max outbound links per page you should be fine. You can use an outbound link to send people to Bob's House of Smoked Salmon for all most of us care. As long as you're not linking to illegal material most people don't restrict where you can send your 3 links per page to.

I wouldn't recommend Bob's. Terrible conversions.

PonyGirl, you can link to what you like for most LLs.... as long as you stay within the "outbound" link limits..

Some will not allow you to put your fake TGP in with the recips. I know I never did.

Also before you go linking to a TGP.....

Most of your traffic to a free sites is targeted/filtered traffic from a LL... looking for specific things.... send them to a TGP with shitloads of galleries on it.. and they are likely to suddenly sign up after finding a new treasure trove. JMO

thanks for all the info, I think this will be a great learning experience for me whether it works or not. Hopefully you are right DD & I can offer my surfers something they didn't even know they wanted -definitely nothing to lose by tryin so... off to design some galleries!
