Is it better to fine tune a free site?
Or is it just better to go off and make a new one?
|
I'm not sure what you're asking. If you mean you have older sites that aren't producing as well as they use to some do some don't.
If you're asking about a site that has only been up a few months I would just keep building. |

just build...and they will cum |thumb |
From what I have found in my short time making free sites is that it is best to do all the fine tuning before you submit it anywhere.
If its already submitted just build the next one better, and the next one better and so on. |
Yes, but reworking the old sites will also help your convert better in the new ones as well as the old ones.
That was my logik behind posing the question, yes I have done a little bit of both, re-working old ones and changing the new ones that I make. It is very hard to tell after building only 4 free sites, and my link list/tgp/mgp. But I will procede forward, asking opinions of others. |

What you must understand is that the best advice is just to build. The more you build the more you learn, and the more you learn the more links you have out there. |
I have always been a strong advocate of build, submit, and forget...
but if you have a site that has a snappy title and is doing well at a link list like Link-o-Rama then it is worth having a quick look at it.. fix what you should have fixed initially.. and upload it. I am sure that will help with staying listed at a good link list... plus helps you realise how much you have grown in your building/site design techniques. |
I think you should go on and build new ones.
Build, build, build at least 5-6 sites a week. Your sites will get better and better, and you will build them faster. |
Build, Submit, Forget :D
If you do find yourself with a lot of time on your hands, then sure, go back & touch up a few old ones. |
Hmm I think that guy wanted to know if its better to make the site look nice , good design etc. which would take more time or just make the site look poorer but make it faster.
I'd say - depends on your mood. If you comply with LL's owners rules (ie. have not overused content, no blind links etc.) I think you wont get rejected due to poor free site design. |
I always have logo, enter, gallery 1, gallery 2 and back buttons as graphics. I'm no designer but I have PhotoImpact, poor man's Photoshop. It's very easy to do good looking graphics with it.
I build a site, submit and forget. But, I put every site on my own list of free sites and I have my own one page LL that list them all. Google likes that page. I still don't have tons of SE traffic, but everything helps, and I update that page every Sunday and it takes only 20 seconds or so. |
Build new as long as your tracking what sites arent getting accepted never make changes to be accepted. I wouldnt change for people to like me so I wont change a site for them to. Just keep track and dont submit or maybe change for future submits. I dont do free sies to regular but the same applies for tgps to dont break the rules but dont bend over backwards to follow them.
