Any XM Radio Fans ?

I just got XM Radio and I am really liking it :) Opie and Anthony and doing links kinda go to together :)

Greenguy 2004-10-05 09:11 AM

You know I'm a fan :)

I've got my local guys on until 10 & then I can flip over to O & A and catch the whole show - not live, but good enough for me :)

Plus the other channels they offer are fucking awesome - listening to ESPN News after the games lets you know who did what on your fantasy teams :D

AcidMaX 2004-10-05 09:33 AM

Oh yeah XM kicks ass I havnt paid for the premium channel yet. Do you have to call to get O&A on it? I know its like $1.99 a month, but I have never heard them and not sure its worth it :)

I mostly listen to Squizz XM48 or XM Comedy XL 150

Definitely the best money I have spent. I got the adapters for my car, boat, and the boombox sitting right next to me at my desk. I just carry the little face plate around and I get my XM Radio :)

MrMaryLou 2004-10-05 09:42 AM

I only heard of Opie and Anthony today was the first time listening to them and it was well worth the 1.99 a month :)

I've only listened to XM in GG's suite...|rasta|

AcidMaX 2004-10-05 10:02 AM

Just ordered O&A gonna check it out, just waiting for channel 202 to show up on my boombox and I am going to tune in :)

I love my XM I have it in all my cars, and my business's I need to get it in my house too, im just too damn lazy.

I was told the other day the Ford and Chrysler was adding the XM as default now, is that true?

I think it is the future for sure, the FCC killed public radio.

Stern will be on XM radio in Jan 2006, just signed a 5 year deal.

Since I still get my radio from the free waves accross the air I don't know if they are different or not but Stern signed up to Sirrus. Not XM as you have stated here Tom :)

Torn Rose 2004-10-06 01:14 PM

opps my bad, I thought there was only one satellite radio out there! Shows how much I pay attention. Hell we just saw a sign for Bob and Tom down here yesterday. Now we just have to get up in time to hear them lol.

Jim 2004-10-06 01:25 PM

I know nothing about it either. I thought and may still think that Sirrus is just programming for XM.
But, check out http://www.sirius.com

Love XM we got in the office, still need to get in the car errrrr.|angry|

MrMaryLou 2004-10-06 04:40 PM

Just my luck I buy an XM set up and Howard picks Sirrus |jester|

MatrixFan 2004-10-06 06:57 PM

I have had XM since it first came out. I love it but I will be switching to Sirius soon. They broadcast all NFL games for free and just signed Stern. Either one beats the hell out of public radio though.

Greenguy 2004-10-07 05:34 AM

I'll be sticking with XM as I'm not a big Stern fan anyway - I still listen to the local guys from 6-10 anyway and I'm either at a Bills game or watching whatever games are on TV, so the football thing is not that big of a deal to me.

Just remember - O & A were the 1st :D

Torn Rose 2004-10-07 06:12 AM

I'm not a Stern fan either, and the few times I've heard O&A I wasn't impressed either.....

Bob and Tom Rock!

Sorry to bring a week old thread back to life, but XM Radio now has an internet based service:

http://www.xmradio.com/xstream/

It's less than 1/2 the channels, but you do get Opie & Anthony (for a limited time - LOL) and there is a 3 day free trial.

Just a little FYI for those of you that might want to try it out :)
