If Bush is re-elected...
and he just might be...
How many Americans do you think will move to Canada? Is it a serious consideration for some? |
I am thinking more about Mexico than Canada. I am just not a Canadian type person :)

If Bush is reelected let me know who needs what. I'll buy a triplex or 2 and set you north bound webmasters up with a place to stay. I'll have a router installed with high speed cable and everything. All the amenities.
All at a fair price... honest |assfuck| Seriously, I don't think anyone is going anywhere. It'll be wait and see. |

Saw a sign on a light pole "lot with partial house $250 US". I'm moveing to Mexico (Ensenada) next summer but that was in the works long before I got in this business. Time to head for the boarder |
I'm already practicing:
Is this the bus to Calgary? I'll have a Molson, Eh! |
Well I'll be watching this, because if greenie moves up by ramster - I'll say fuck the internet and open a beer store down the street from them $$ :D
|
If we were more financial secure, I honestly think we would move to Vancouver, the idea of 4 more years makes me sick and we both love the BC area.
But, since Kerry WILL win, no worries here.... eh? |
TJ all the way :)

Lets see - how many 18-25 yr old kids will decide that Canada is a better option than the draft - since tha will be one of the first things Bush will implement as soon as reelected. Having lived through that period in our history where I was of draft age during a war - I know what percentage of my friends headed out - or did like Bush and got their rich parents to get them into the Air Guard or something along those lines so they could finish college without a 2S deferment. The only thing that saved me from the draft was my lottery number was huge - so I enlisted anyway.
And yes I spent 12 years in the military - and yes I demonstrated against the war just like every other soldier I knew. This shit with Kerry supposedly giving away all the POW info and giving in to the N Vietnamese is a pile of crap twisting the truth. The real truth is contained in the Nixon library if you ever get a chance to see the transcripts from the tapes - Kerry was in Paris with Henry Kissinger as part of the peace talks and it was Kissinger that actually gave the offer to the N Viets - and they declined it and asked for more which we refused. - Thats why the Paris Accord took another 2 years to stamp out. The swiftwill idiots or whatever they are called ought to all be shot and then shown for what they truly are - paid by the republican private supporters of Bush's dad - check they're affiliations and you can find it for yourself pretty easy |
My my Linkster, you really are passionate today!
First off, as a Canadian, let me all tell you that Canada is not as rosy as all you think it to be. I really don't want to get into it, but trust me, its not. But, if your gonna tell me that Kerry is THE best choice because Bush is the only other alternative - then give me a break. Kerry is not all that, otherwise the American people would not be so evenly divided about this Presidential race. Besides, do all Americans want to have a non-American born 1st lady living in the Whitehouse? That to me is a sacrilege. Finally, if there is a place that you would rather live in besides America then the only place to go is Puerto Rico - which is almost American anyways. |
Besides me saying "Kerry will win" who else in this thread mentioned the name Kerry or even how great he is?
It's called lesser of two evils, and if that upsets you too bad. As for Kerry's wife being born outside the US, who the fuck cares? That is totally the lamest "don't vote for Kerry because..." post I have ever seen. |
I forgot to mention, the whole point of the idea of moving OUTSIDE the US is to get away from the bullshit of the US, so what point would it be to move to PR which is owned by the US?

Stole this from another board - its hilarious :)
make sure you have the sound on - http://homepage.mac.com/njenson/movies/lovedocs.html |

Rosey or not I'm ready Ramster beam me up hell I'm only fifty miles or so to the damn border anyways haha |
Torn,
I think you need to live in another for a while to appreciate how fortunate you really are. Firstly, judging where Melbourne, FL is located, you need to find a comparable climate because you couldn't cut it on a colder climate, otehrwise you wouldn't live in FL in the first place. Secondly, you will need to find a country in this comparable climate - with the same standard of living that you are accustomed to living, otherwise what's the point. Thirdly, this country will have to have a relatively stable economy, freedom of speach, the right to do whatever you want to do, and so on. There are several other points that I should be mentioning here but what's the point really? Many of you Americans really don't have an appreciation for how wonderful your country really is. All you talk about are the lamest points. Take a look at the big picture sometimes to see the hidden truths. If you feel that Bush or more capable than Kerry or less capable than Kerry than make your voice heard: Vote dammit! (N.B. To Jim of Greenguy&Jim - just because I live in Canada does not mean I was born here. I was born in roslindale, ma but Dad got transfered up here 33 years ago.) |peace| |
my little 1 bedroom condo in Oracabessa Jamaica will be crowded but we'll make room. Penis Coladas, beach, high speed internet and no draft.. hmmm looking really good these days.
Right on Linkster!! and Torn you are right ..nobody cares where she's from .. compared to what is there she could be from Mars and i'd still vote for him. |
Don't forget the VP debates are tonight!
|swordfigh |
Stick to what you know which doesn’t include anything about me, you know nothing of me, what my likes/dislikes or what I can/choose to deal with, so don't even act all wise and mighty when it involves me because you just made your self look like a total tool assuming you know anything of me. And just FYI, I did live in Canada and I almost stayed there permanently.
If you think bush is so great and we are so lucky to have them then you come and deal with his crap instead of sitting on the sideline cheering him on. |
