Based on advice from this board - new free hosted sites
 

A couple weeks ago I asked for some feedback on the first round of OCCash free sites. I carefully considered everyones comments (thanks Greenguy, Cleo, Ramster) when I had security man but this batch together - we lowered the # of galleries, made the a little less graphic intense, and a few other changes.

Again, I'd like to get feedback on these 9 new freehosted OCCash sites:

My only critical comment would be that the ones with the brick wall backgrounds seem a little busy. The text over them doesn't stand out as well as it could and with the light colored backgrounds they seem a little 'in your face'.

Yeah - I agree with MadMax - that 1st one with the bricks made me ask myself "What excatly did they change?" LOL

The rest look a lot better :)

And hey - while I have you, try not to hide the damn HFS link codes in the new admin - I spent 15 min poking around until I finally stumbled onto where they are listed at :D

I agree with that 100%. Nats is a cool program, but there are a number of things they never set it up to deal with - one being free hosted sites. We were the first to ask for it.

I was thinking of putting something in the admin in a big

tag or something that says:

THE FREE HOSTED SITES ARE LABELED AS FREE or something like that, because it is a bit confusing.

Jay - just make it idiot proof for dumb webmasters like me - a nice long list with the date added at the end :D

I think the "back" button at the bottom of your galleries should bring back to the main page, not to the index :)

QUESTION: Is it really wise to have so much text as graphics?

Text is more important for free sites than galleries. Of course, these are all free hosted, but if you build your sites with decent text it give the SE spiders something to chew on and you might grab a few extra hits.

Free sites are looking great ... yes text is definitely king! :)

Jay... do you have some indication with how your sales and rebills are going? Its been 2 months now and I would be quite interested in your results :)
