I guess since we're seeing questions cropping up this would be a solid place for a FAQ, and to respond to questions/answers.

First off, the submit form and the rules are here:

it currently isnt 100% open to the public. Its also not a secret form either ;) I'm not 100% sure what i'm doing with it, but, as of now we're taking submissions from folks who read this board and are smart enough to find the submit form from here, or word of mouth. Call it a perk from reading this board :)

Secondly, if your site has been rejected take a look at the rules again, very closely and specifically. Some people miss the ones that are a litle different from other link lists:

Now if you're pretty sure you fell within these guidelines, post here. If you think you were 'pretty close' to falling in the lines of those guidelines, post here :)

There are also other reasons sites can get rejected, though these are rare and few between.

1) sometimes I just didnt like the site (colors, font, ads, whatever)
2) sometimes I fuck up
3) sometimes I get behind in submissions due to personal reasons.
4) You filled the form out wrong. This is, amazingly more common than you'd believe.

I do now and continue to reserve the right to reject a site for any reason at any time. It would be nice if I listed every single site that fell within the rules but that's not always possible. Sometimes I reject on a hunch. Sometimes I dont like the content, the navigation, whatever.

With that said, If you are being rejected consistantly (lets say you've submitted 5 sites, each that are using different templates) and you're fairly certain you're following the rules.... well, then its probably my fault (see rule number 2 above). Please post here and let me know.

I dont currently have very many people blacklisted so there is little chance that you'll be on that very short list.

If you're submitting clean sites that fall within the normal rules of a link list, post here or private message me here and we'll figure out where I slipped up.

As of the date of this first post, the most common reason for rejecting sites is the overuse of free content. I myself use free content, and get rejected because of it all the time. If I've already seen that sponsor once or twice that day, chances are I'll reject that free content. if I've already seen that set of content that day it'll probably get rejected.

I do in fact accept free content, but know it gets rejected more often than other sites just because of overuse. There are currently no sponsors that are 'blacklisted'. I'll accept anyones content as long as its fresh and I havent been bombarded by them recently.

All of these rules are subject to change, so please take the time to read this entire thread before posting to see if your issues are covered. That doesnt mean I wont change my mind in your case, so feel free to post anyways, its just a good idea to be pre informed :)
