Which are the "Must Submit" LLs
Hi Everyone,
With so many LL's to choose from and everyone having so many rules that are getting tighter by the week it is becoming harder to know just how much to jump through the hoops for maybe 2 hits a week from the smaller ones. On the other hand there are the big, traffic producing sites that you would love to get listed by and would not want to get on the wrong side of their reviewers :) Who thinks what sites are their top 50 now? Let's have a list of the "best" ones. Rayzor |
Hi Rayzor,
What you have to remember when deciding not to go with the smaller LLs is that obviously they are lower in the SES. When you get a surfer searching for something specific, and they are prepared to go past the first 4 or 5 pages, they are more inclined in my view to be willing to pull out their CC and sign up, having taken the effort to find exactly what they are looking for. Obviously the big LLs you want to get listed at, but the smaller ones can be productive too. JMHO |
Sorry, forgot to say, thats why most of the smaller LLs don't have such strict rules, because they ARE smaller and so need o have more incentive for webmasters to submit to them. You need to figure out whether the ones you jump thru hoops for are worth it
If they send you traffic, great. If not the maybe it's time to trade a recip or 2 out. I have a hardcore of about 30 LLs I always sub to, and around another 100 that I'll mix and match. I also try to put 1 small LL in with the big guns, and swap that 1 LL every time with another small LL |

You can't make a top 50 list beacuse it all depends on a catogery you submit to. The best way is to try all linklists and check which are giving you traffic and which are not.
|
and the best option is to look for it in the search engines ;)
type 'lesbian sex' or smg like that and see which link lists are on top, and i bet you won't see small link sites here ;) |

" i bet you won't see small link sites here" that is incorrect. |
"lesbian sex"... hmm I remember LOR was #1 last time i checked. :)

I don't want to go into this any further because I tried to give out some good info in another thread and it seemed to fall on deaf ears. The most asked question on the board is how. When that is answered then there is disagreement rather than understanding. So no wonder not many people get answers. |
I try to submit to the following places, when I make a site.
Link-O-Rama Hoes Penisbot Wetplace Cleoslinks Smutgremlins JK's Link4All Megapornlinks outlaws sexysites FetishPhiles Universal Erotica Linkster youngcherrys HQPornLinks 1freepornfinder freeporndeluxe smilingpussylinks richardsrealm (I have only been listed once) tommysbookmarks (I have never been listed) ~srry if I missed someone that I submit to~ I usally try to split them up between the .html and the .htm. As for tommys and richards... I figured I was better off to submit to a smaller LL that sent me a little traffic from every submit than one that sent me traffic from one listing a month or none at all. RichardsRealm does list my galleries though |bananna| |
I must say out of the list of 300 LL you can find on some of these webmaster resource sites... The ones I named are about the only ones I have tried to date. lol
I am still trying new ones and seeing what works for me :) |
I've been doing a "carpet bombing" approach and now submit to about 120 LL's, most of the big ones and quite a few small ones.
I figure that it only takes one hit to get a sale and that could come from anywhere. Also, i reckon that some LL's don't list me, and maybe never will. Maybe they just don't like me :) so the more i submit to the better. More traffic is good because it at least makes you think that your efforts are getting seen by surfers, (even though the bastards are sucking up your bandwidth), but i agree that smaller niche places are more likely to get "quality traffic" ie ones that get the CC out. I do object though to pissy little sites that act like Hitler and send you gnarly emails slagging off your site building skills etc and then you look at their site and they have maybe 200 links in total and have only ever sent you maybe 1 hit anyway! Surfn, what was the thread you wrote about this type of thing on. I am interested to read it. Cheers Rayzor |

Ray For us pissy little LL that have no links and send BS emails - our rules are the same or close to GG or tommys or smut or murrys or richards, so if I send a reject most likely some or most of the big guys wont list it either..
Also us smaller LL will grow up if the webmaster works at it and has a little luck and I have many good first page yahoo listings for various terms - like xxx porn, panty porn lingerie, xxx pregnant porn, xxx reality porn, xxx porn links and many others.. Also my plans are to have one of the largest LL on the internet and in the works is 20 more categories plus some extra ones for me and I see sales on a regular basics sometimes not everyday but sales happen.. And keep em coming and I am not harping at you, this post is for all free site builders.. |
I don’t believe I have ever been rejected because of the .htm & .html.
I am usually rejected for banners that say, “Enter here” and hardcore banners. I only use what my sponsor has though |sad| thats why most of my ads on the index page have been text lately. |
Hey Plateman,
I'm right there with you. I've got a LL that i want to see grow into a viable thing that i can be proud of, and also make a few bucks from. I also build and submit free sites and that is my main thing, hoping that a few stray surfers will follow the exit links to the LL, bookmark and become regulars, etc etc. Building traffic and making a success of it all through honest hard work. I see a lot of the knockbacks from LL owners as a bad thing that stands between me and an honest buck without always appreciating that they are knee deep in cheaters and other pricks that basically harden everybody's attitudes and make everything harder for the rest of us. The rules are there for a reason and there is always someone that will cheat, at anything; But the assumption of guilt and the power of the blacklists can be misused by a webmaster in a bad mood encountering a site that might merely have had a couple of mistakes in it, or a wrong URL. I just try to keep submitting without pissing too many people off accidentally. |
Didn't see FreeSiteXXX.com on your submit list...please add us.
and PS...we and Greenie are the only LLs in top 5 for 'lesbian sex' ;-) XPorn |
I don't know if we fall into the top 50 or not, since few are willing to reveal their traffic. We get just under a million page views/month, and we've been ranked at Google in the #4 position for a search on adult links for as long as I can remember. I should probably come up with a set of reciprocal links specific to the category a webmaster is submitting to so we can get the high rankings for more specific searches...

A million a month!?
My site Rug-Munchers gets a very small fraction of that and i really struggle to think of new ways to try to get more traffic in. I have trades with everyone i can think of, mirrored entrances with SE specific phrases, 6000 free sites listed now, and exit links from all my free sites, and still i get about 20,000 visitors per month at best. Can anyone suggest what i might have missed or other ideas to get traffic, (and keep it) Rayzor |
I like to submit my sites to the smaller linksites reason : even they send less traffic they have also not much sites in their database.meaning the sooner a surfer will find my sites if i submit to that list all the time:|violin|

Rayzor,
It sounds like you're doing everything right. Beyond that, about all you can do is wait. Most of the higher traffic links lists have been around for years and have a large base of dedicated fans who have bookmarked them and visit regularly. Recurring visitors probably account for most of our traffic, and that just takes time to build up. Blue Wave started in 1998 and the other names I remember from that time are Tommy's, Green Guy, Persian Kitty, and Richard's Realm. It was a lot easier to succeed back then before everybody and their dogs owned websites. Back then, you could put up an AVS site with 20 pictures in it and make $2,000/month from it. These days, we have to work our butts off for the money. |
