What does everyone expect? First Britain fucks with them and then America and the U.S.S.R arms them to the point of insanity and plays them against each over. All along who ever can keep the oil flowing is kept in power while looking the other way at corruption.

Then a religious fanatic who thinks he is in power at the willing of god invades them against the better judgment of most of the world.

Another big splinter in the Mid East's side is a religious group that America backs just inflaming things more known as Israel.

So now we have ignorant superstitious people living a miserable existence who believe that the short cut to the promised land for them and family is to fight for and die in the name of their god.

Until they have something to look forward to in this life they are going to keep on striving for their fantasy of the afterlife.

Sorry Acid, that wasn't a really adequite response to your point. I understand what you mean, and there is a logic in pre-emption. These are bad times for sure, and it makes me sad.

In this case, if any politicien comes out with a damaged reputation it will be Tony Blair. Bigley reputedly begs Blair for assistance and warns him that, without it, he will be the cause of his (Bigley's) Death. Of course this is wrong and more than likely a script given to Bigley by the captors. In a hostage situation there is no way a country can negotiate. Negotiation will only show these extremists that we are willing to give in to demands and, thus, lead to further similar events. All a country can do is hope kidnappers will relinquish demands, or be taken out.

And no 1 political leader can take the blame for this. There have been people kidnapped and beheaded from multiple countries. When people blame GW for everything it really pisses me off. It's like the old saying "If your friend jumped off a bridge would you?" I mean the other countries that went to war made their decision. Granted they based that decision on bad intelligence, but they made the decision as well. This is not all George Bush's fault and quite frankly I think he is tougher on this stuff then Kerry is. This is what concerns me about Kerry. If it was just about porn and shit, I might vote Kerry, but I care more about the men and women who are losing their lives and the thousands more innocent people who might if those men and women don't/didn't lose their lives to fight for this worlds freedoms.


These people are extremists. They wont stop until they die. Even if we pulled out they would still murder innocent people, to get the next thing they want. These people need to be hung up by their testicles and a bullet put through their heads. This will be an ongoing fight for a long time and is not something we should ignore and put on the backburner.

It makes all of us sad, but Acid has a point we cant blame GW right now, the best thing we can do is support those men and woman who are doing the best jobs they can to keep this the best country in the world.
