Building traffic to a new LL or tgp

How to build traffic to a new LL or tgp? Is it a smart strategy to submit freesites or galleries that link to your new LL or tgp instead of direct to sponsor?

Very smart idea - use one of your links allowed to go to your LL or tgp - with gallery submits to TGPs its sometimes harder to get listed that way - but definitely with free sites Id do it (actually I do still do it) :)

If you mean link to your link site IN PLACE of sponsor links I dont think that will fly at most places... not sure why.. but dont think it would.

It'll fly Opti or at least that's how I have done all my free sites.
Just as long as you don't go over the number of allowed links I don't think the LL Owners care

yeah... I'm likely mis-understanding what is meant TP.

If you are a regular gallery poster you can for sure replace one of the recip links with your own. The better the recip the more people will click it (I get up to 150 hits/day from that = not much but a start).

Another good way is to send all your 404-traffic to you new site (if you have some from galleries, etc.; you'll be suprised how many people try to poke around in a gallery site, changing directory names, etc.) - I believe that most people prefer a decent link site or tgp redirection from a 404-error to all the pop-up-hell advertising, and quite a few will bookmark you site if they like it!
You could also host your galleries for a while on the same domain; many people are trying for a decent root page, so if your tgp is straight away the main page on that server you'll get traffic from that, too!

But dumping all advertising: that sounds like not such a good idea! Try instead one extra link below your ads saying something like "many more free galleries like this at my site xname.com" (avoid the word "main" site - many link checkers have that under banned words). Many people do this on their galleries!

I've always thought about writing a big sticker to go on the back of my car, but was a bit worried what they'd think when it's parked in the carpark at work:

"Lesbians - Wahey!! at Http://www.rug-munchers.com"

Not the most discreet thing for managers to do :)

Tommy 2004-10-15 01:14 PM

does anyone else feel spamed ??

Rayzor 2004-10-15 01:19 PM

I would have thought that if you owned such a good domain you could pretty much sit on your arse under a palmtree drinking tequila and counting money for the rest of your life.
