I went through the Verified-by-Visa (VBV) set-up about a year ago. I personally found it to be *very* simple. My account is with Bank of America.
VBV is a good way to verify purchases online. Think of it as a PIN for your online purchase. Basically, it just a password that you choose to insure that any site using VBV prompts for your password so that someone not authorized to use your card can not make purchases online. The Visa website says this about VBV: ------------------ "Verified by Visa protects merchants from fraud-related chargebacks on all Visa personal debit and credit card transactions, even when processing transactions from non-participating issuers. Verified by Visa also protects consumers by requiring a password during online purchases, helping ensure that no one else can use their Visa card online. " ------------------ That being said, if you can not or do not wish to get VBV working with your Wells Fargo account, you can go through the ePVerify process with ePassporte as an alternative. You just need to be able to get pending transaction information on your WF account. |
Thanx Rand
